How to Reduce Stress? (Stress Awareness Month)

Reducing stress must be a priority in your lifestyle. If you have not tried positive self-talk, you might want to give it a chance to feel calm. Positive self-talk can make you feel better about yourself. It helps you relax, and stay motivated, and it improves your mood. But this is just one way to lower your stress levels.

First, notice what makes you feel more stressed. Second, be conscious of what you do and your actions when you are stressed out. Third, learn to relax your mind or your body. Often relaxing your mind and body at the same time diminishes stress. Begin with positive self-talk such as using positive affirmations and replacing negative words.

Practice cursive handwriting in your journal or notebook. Use your alternate hand to do cursive writing. Writing is therapeutic especially if you write down what bothers you. Split your journal in half by writing down what stresses you out and what makes you feel calm. Use sticker tabs to divide your journal sections.

Write down your positive self-talk. Listen to guided meditations for positive thinking. Believe you can be successful while remaining serene. Listen to jazz music when you are stretching, exercising, or when you are drinking your tea. Dance to jazz music to relax your body and mind.

Listening to jazz music or any other soothing music can help you recover from negativity. Get in a comfortable position to read or listen to music. Use a leg elevation pillow while you read your book to help you relax. Read funny jokes to relax your mind. Watch humorous television shows to add laughter to your day.

Watch game shows to forget about your worries. Lower your stress levels this April and every month by including different relaxing activities. Stress Awareness Month is all about finding ways to relax and take breaks for your health. Do self-care, take care of your mind, and take care of your physical health.
