Yoga for Diabetes

Exercise is always recommended when you have prediabetes or diabetes. However, the exercise has to be at a moderate pace. Strenuous exercise is not recommended because it makes the sugar levels drop too much. Therefore doing exercise at a slow pace such as yoga may help you control your sugar levels. Make sure you are in a breezy area to do yoga outside or indoors.

Yoga improves circulation, the nervous system, and the immune system. It lowers the blood pressure for type 2 Diabetes and helps reduce stress. Doing yoga for thirty minutes a day can make a difference in controlling your sugar. Before doing yoga for diabetes consult with your primary doctor. Check your sugar before doing yoga.

Eat a light snack if needed. Notice how you feel while practicing yoga. If you feel dizzy, out of breath, or have problems balancing; Stop doing yoga and consult with your doctor. Practice yoga at your own pace and meditate at the end of your yoga session. Here are links about doing yoga for diabetes.
