National Hot Tea Month in January
However, if you want your body to absorb enough antioxidants from tea simply add lemon, orange, or any other sliced citrus fruit. Also, adding berries to your tea will add more antioxidants to your tea. It also creates an enticing aroma which will awaken you in the mornings. Yet, tea must be consumed in moderation.
Here is a list of ways
to celebrate National Hot Tea Month during a pandemic.
1. Make tea and pour
your hot tea in a beverage container. Then, drink a few sips while you read your
favorite book, magazine, or do a crossword puzzle.
2. Make hot tea after a
warm bath or shower for a cozy day or night to help you relax your nervous
system. Make sure your tea is caffeine free if you drink hot tea a few hours
before going to sleep.
3. Make hot tea and
pour hot tea in a porcelain tea kettle. Make your own tea ceremony in the
afternoon with your family that lives with you and have someone read a short
story. After the story is read, discuss with the family what the story was
about and ask questions. Questions such as: What the story was about? What your
favorite part of the story was?, Who was the character that you admired in the
story?
4. Make hot tea and
listen to relaxing music while you drink your tea.
5. Make hot tea and sit
on your cozy chair while you watch your favorite movie on television.
6. Ask your family,
friends, or acquaintances what tea they like to drink and make their favorite
hot tea while you have a virtual video chat. Have a conversation about their
favorite tea and ask them questions such as Why do you like this specific tea? How
do you drink your hot tea?, What teas remind you of your family traditions?
7. Make hot tea and
share your favorite family stories with your family on Zoom or any other social
media platform.
8. Replace one sugary
drink with one cup of hot tea per day to give your body a healthy boost of antioxidants.
