DIY Floral Frame Art

Changing your picture frames periodically has positive effects on your state of mind. It brightens your mood and it gives a different atmosphere in the room. Choose a theme for your painting such as florals. Simply making a floral design and using an old frame can make a big difference in your mood. Here are the instructions in making your own floral art frame.

Materials:
1 Frame
Xerox Paper
Acrylic Paint
Paintbrushes
Scissors
A Scanner
Pencil or a Pen
Ruler
Photo Paper

First, choose a theme. Second, draw your floral design. For example, you can draw flowers on a coffee mug. Third, outline the drawing with the acrylic paint. Fourth, wait for the paint to dry.

Fifth, add a different shade inside the flowers and coffee mug. Next, add a horizontal line onto the paper with the acrylic paint. You can use a ruler to help you make a straight line. Then, continue adding more acrylic paint to the flowers, mug, and the background. Work in different sections at a time.

Paint a table runner if you want to create more details in the painting. Then, wait for the painting to dry. Once you like the way the painting looks, you can scan the painting. Make sure the painting is dry. Then, use a photo program like Pic Monkey or Pizap to add a border to the painting.

You can add text to the border such as your name, date, and title of your painting. This way there is no need to use a mat for the painting. Print out the painting with the border and text onto photo paper. Wait for the ink to dry. Trim the edges of the photo paper in case it does not fit in the frame.

After that, you can hang your new floral art frame. Also, you can save a copy of your painting on your USB as a backup. These floral art frames can be given as a gift too. You can also use leftover scrap paper to add to the back of the frame. You can add ribbon to hang the frame which will give it a vintage theme to your room.

Using the scanner and the photo program, you can save your favorite painting your child made for you. You can type your child's name, date, and title of your child's painting. Then, you can print it out on photo paper and frame it. Additionally, you can add his or her copy of his or her painting onto a scrapbook. Nonetheless, your child will feel proud of showing off his or her painting on a frame.
