Fig & Melon Yogurt
Figs are beneficial for
your cardiovascular system, skeletal system, and digestive system. These sweet
fruits have potassium which is recommended if you have high blood pressure. It has
prebiotic properties for your digestion. Another benefit of consuming figs when
they are in season is that they have vitamin A, vitamin C, vitamin K, calcium,
iron, magnesium, and fiber. During the autumn and winter seasons, figs can be
consumed by themselves, in desserts, chicken meals, and with seafood meals.
Although figs are
considered to have a high content of sugar, it is beneficial for your overall
health. It might help with weight loss as well as give a boost to the immune
system. Figs have antioxidants that might help prevent certain cancers
according to some medical research. Before you consume figs, make sure you are
not allergic to figs because they come from the Ficus tree. Here is the recipe
for making this fig and melon yogurt.
Ingredients:
One small box of sliced
Cantaloupe
One small box of figs
One 5.3 oz of Greek yogurt
One bag of chia seeds
Preparation and Dessert
Time:
In one small bowl, add Greek
yogurt with chia seeds. Stir the yogurt and the chia seeds. Next, open one box
of cantaloupes and slice the pieces into smaller pieces. Then, open one box of
figs and wash the figs. Slice the figs.
Remove the stems of the
figs. After that add the cantaloup slices and the slices of figs. Then, add
more yogurt to fill up the size of the small bowl. Continue adding more figs
and cantaloup with the yogurt. Serve immediately.
