Three Ways to Meditate in the Summer Season
Meditating
in the summer is challenging especially if you feel tiredness and sleepiness
throughout the day. Yet, meditating in the summer can help you connect with
nature by using your senses more, especially if you meditate outdoors. Feel the
sand go inside your sandals while you walk on the beach. Be careful walking
barefoot on the beach especially if there are glass, crabs, and other sea
creatures. Nonetheless, you can also purchase color sand and feel the sand with
your hands while you make sand art.
Feel the grainy
texture of the sand and see the colors of the sand. Move the sand slowly and
gently with a sand shovel. Use a flat bowl and pour the sand in it. Feel the
sand with your hands and make waves, lines, zig zags, or any other design. Keep
the sand bowl with the sand on your desk or coffee table so you can practice
meditating with sand art.
Another way
to meditate with sand in the summer is by purchasing a moving sand art picture and
doing visual meditation while the sand moves. Sit quietly and watch the sand
move inside the glass picture frame. Play ocean sounds and watch the moving
sand from the glass picture. Also, you can make your sand art picture frame by
using various color sands or you can make a sand art in a glass bottle with a
cork top. Make sure you can see the sand so you can move the bottled up and
down or the picture frame.
If you like
to meditate with flowers, you can meditate by using tropical flowers. You can
use Hibiscus, Jasmine, Clivia, or any other flower. Hold the flower and sit for
five minutes. See the flower petals, stem, color, and other features. Make an
essential oil tropical blend with a carrier oil to apply to your skin.
For example,
you can use Patchouli, Jasmine, Eucalyptus, Peppermint, or Ginger and Lavender.
As well as making a tropical essential oil blend for your diffuser. However,
you can use any essential oil scent to make you feel serene and to welcome the
summer season in your home. You can do this at night if you have a tough time
sleeping at night. Wash off the essential oil blend in the morning and write in
your summer journal.
Additionally, you can meditate
with water by throwing flower petals in the water. You can use a large bowl, an
inflatable large pool, or your swimming pool. Get one flower from your garden
that has dry petals and carefully remove each petal. Throw the petals in water
slowly and move the petals in the water. This can be done as an emotional
release and for emotional healing.
Nevertheless, these are
just three ways to meditate in the summer. Meditating in the summer can be done
for five to fifteen minutes per day. It can help you connect with nature and
with your feelings. As well as enjoying the summer season slowly. Here are
