Meditating with Fruit
It is so
easy to meditate with a piece of fruit. It will only take about ten or fifteen
minutes to do this type of meditation. First, choose a fruit that you like or a
fruit you have never tasted before. Second, make sure it is easy to peel the
fruit with your hands. Third, wash the piece of fruit. After you have chosen
your fruit, you can begin to meditate.
If you
chose a citrus fruit such as orange, tangerine, or clementine, you can begin
by smelling the citrus scent of the fruit. Peel your fruit with your hands if it is easy to
peel it. In this way, you will feel a sense of calm by peeling the fruit with
your hands. You will feel the texture of the fruit and the citrus scent relaxes
the mind. After you have peeled the fruit, you can savor and eat the fruit
slowly without being in a rush.
In this way, you will appreciate the food that you eat. By using all your senses of touch, sight, hearing, smell, and taste your mind will produce feel-good chemicals in the brain. Simply seeing the color of the fruit will open your appetite. You will be more thankful and more conscious of eating healthy. Here are more resources about meditating with fruit.
