Benefits of Adding Apple Cider Vinegar to Your Salads

Apple cider vinegar is made from apple juice that is fermented. This vinegar is used for marinades, vinaigrettes, salad dressing, and to preserve fruits. If you purchase apple cider vinegar with mother, it also has healthy benefits for your body because it has proteins, pectin, and enzymes.

It is recommended to use organic apple cider vinegar with mother. Another recommendation is to dilute the apple cider vinegar with water if you were to drink it for its health benefits. But you can use lemon juice and extra virgin olive oil with apple cider vinegar to make your salad dressing. You can add honey, mustard, and garlic to add more flavor. Ingredients:

½ onions

½ red bell peppers

Celery stalk

Apple cider vinegar

One lemon

One or two garlic cloves

Extra virgin olive oil

One or two cucumbers

Spinach leaves

Macadamia Nuts

Preparation and Salad Toss:

Peel half of an onion and slice the onions. Wash the celery and slice it. Next, wash the bell peppers and slice them. Then, peel one cucumber and slice it. After that add the celery, onions, bell peppers, and cucumbers in a bowl.

In a small bottle, mix the apple cider vinegar, extra virgin olive oil, and lemon juice. Then, add pressed garlic using a garlic press. Mix the garlic with the apple cider vinegar, extra virgin olive oil, and lemon juice. Wash spinach leaves and add them to the bowl. Next, mix the apple cider dressing that you made with the rest of the salad.

Toss the salad and serve the salad. This salad serves two or three people. Add macadamia nuts which are optional in this recipe. Make sure you or your guests are not allergic to tree nuts such as macadamia nuts. Consult with your primary doctor before adding apple cider vinegar to your diet.
