National Day of Encouragement
National
Day of Encouragement is celebrated on September 12th every
year. This day is about inspiring others with nice compliments. You can make a
positive change in someone’s life by reassuring them. This support can make
them feel enthusiasm for their accomplishments, hard work, and for completing
their career goals. The more encouragement, your coworkers and friends will
feel positivity around them in their job.
Encouraging
others might be a challenge if you have never done this before in your job.
Before you say or give positive feedback, make sure you are honest with
yourself. Acknowledge how your coworker feels before commenting. Write a short
message and give a small gift. The small gift can be a pen, a brooch, or a
candy bag.
Purchase
a small cup of coffee and include an encouraging note. Make a certificate and
frame it to give to them. You can also give them a personalized reusable
tumbler. Furthermore, you do not need a gift to show encouragement, but it
makes a nice gesture. Encourage someone enthusiastically.
Write
uplifting messages once a week or once a month in your job. Practice
hospitality by bringing an extra salad or sandwich to work to share with your
coworkers. Offer to help them if they are feeling stressed out. Be present for
them if they need your support. Do not give them negative feedback.
Celebrate
their successes. Give a button pin, a small trophy, or a frame with an
inspiring quote. Do not participate in work gossip. Comment with positive words
and celebrate each other's triumphs. Here are websites with more ways to
encourage someone.
