Tips to Manage Summer Depression


How to beat summer depression? Summer depression can be manageable by exercising, mindfulness, meditation, or other relaxing activities. However seasonal depression can last up to five months.   6. Use essential oils such as Yuzu, Lavender, Bergamot, Sweet Orange, and other citrus essential oils for coping with anxiety and depression. 
  7. Read or write in a journal for managing negative emotions. 
  8. Practice breathing techniques and guided meditations. 
  9. Play board games with your friends and family members. 
  10. Attend a mental health online seminar to help you understand your depression and get suggestions for reducing the symptoms. 


Self-care can help relieve some symptoms of summer depression. A self-care bag can be made by adding a worry crochet worm, blanket, pillow, a journal, tissues, hygiene products, essential oils, or items to help you feel calm. A worry crochet worm can be made by knitting a worm and holding the crochet worm. Then say your worries aloud. Although a worry crochet worm is for children, teenagers with depression can feel less frightened and feel comfort.
