Celebrating World Kindness Week & Positive Affirmations

Every year in the second week of November is World Kindness Week. It is a week to think about what you can do to help others with kindness and to remind oneself to show kindness to others. Also, it reminds oneself to show empathy to others, especially during tough times. World Kindness Week can be celebrated in the workplace, in school, and in other public places by doing random acts of kindness, donating, complimenting, and helping others. It helps one to connect, respect, and to help others with generosity.

World Kindness Day is on November 13th where you can do random acts of kindness. It is a day to reflect on the random acts of kindness that you have done for others. Although you might not keep track on all the acts of kindness you have done; Yet, you might be filled with gratitude, appreciation, and feel encouraged to do more random acts of kindness. Nevertheless, giving your time, your support, and showing that you care can be everything that one needs. As well as practicing kindness, reading kindness quotes, and saying positive affirmations of kindness can help you to feel good.

You can practice positive affirmations for self-kindness and positive affirmations for being kind to others. Kindness might come naturally and automatically at times. However, during tough times it can be difficult to demonstrate kindness to yourself and to others. Managing negative feelings and negative emotions is challenging during challenging times. Here is a list of positive affirmations for reminding you to practice kindness to others.

  1. I choose to smile, to love, and to be kind.
  2. I choose to be kind, peaceful, and joyful.
  3. My actions flow gently like a peaceful stream.
  4. My actions flow slowly like renewed flowers with kindness.
  5. I spread kindness as flower petals fertilize the garden soil.
  6. I treat everyone with respect and kindness.
  7. I choose kindness and ready to spread kindness like glitter.
  8. Every interaction with kindness is filled with gratitude and respect.
  9. My actions jump with cheerfulness and like a dance of kindness.
  10. I spread kindness like a never-ending sweetness of fragrance in the air.

Say positive affirmations to yourself, especially during a difficult day or during difficult months. Do deep breathing and read short affirmations before doing acts of kindness. After that opens a door for someone, let someone borrow a pen, or other random acts of kindness this week. Another way is to say positive affirmations to yourself after doing random acts of kindness. Although not everyone might accept random acts of kindness, it can still improve your mood and feel good about yourself.

Celebrate World Kindness Day and World Kindness Week by writing compliments, gratitude messages, and kind reviews online. Write reviews and thank them for how the hotel or other business made you feel. For example, you can write a review to a hair salon and thank them for styling your hair for a special event. In addition, you can send a thank you gift to your beautician or to a nurse that makes you feel better. Another way is to practice kindness with your children and donate non-perishable food, gently worn clothing, and new toys.

Writing together thank you cards, post cards, or thank you letters to a teacher or to the school. Doing small random acts of kindness such as bringing an extra box of crayons, pencils, or school supplies to donate to the school. If you have time, you can do volunteer work at your child's school or at a charity organization. Write positive feedback with kindness to a school, college, or university. Bring an awareness of spreading kindness online with positivity and gratitude.

Although not everyone might accept feedback with kindness, it is possible to inspire others to practice kindness in the workplace or at home. Do not give up on doing random acts of kindness and positive feedback because of a bad workplace experience. Here are resources about World Kindness Day and random acts of kindness. Also, the tips for World Kindness Day can be practiced for World Kindness Week. Happy World Kindness Week!
