Breast Cancer Awareness Month 2022
When a person is diagnosed with breast cancer, it is difficult to comprehend it. At first, the person is in shock and has the feeling of crying. After a while, he or she has a hard time understanding the process of the treatments. The challenging part is accepting that the treatments change your body physically and change your mind. There are times a person might not have the strength or motivation.
Each year in October it is fundamental to bring an understanding of breast cancer. Although this disease affects women more, men are being diagnosed with it. Also, men feel shameful, embarrassed, and not able to discuss how they feel. Therefore socializing with people who have cancer will find it easier to discuss it. A person with cancer needs emotional support and needs to feel motivated.
Thinking positively also helps besides eating healthier. It is recommended to have a good breakfast before radiation treatments. Throughout the radiation and chemotherapy treatments, the person needs to feel less stressed. After the treatments and recovering from surgery, the person must continue eating healthier. Friends and family can give them support and encouragement for them to feel better.
You can give someone support and encouragement if you know someone who has cancer. Additionally, volunteering for a cancer support community center. You can offer to drive or help someone with cancer. Giving your time is appreciated. Below are links to Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
