Three Ways to Meditate in the Autumn Season
The
autumn season is full of changes, hope, sadness, and joy at the same time. It
is a busy time like the winter season except the autumn season prepares you for
the winter. At the beginning of autumn, you might feel sad that the summer
season has ended. As well as other life events that occurred simultaneously
without your control. Yet, the autumn season makes you self-reflect on the
pessimistic thoughts that come to mind.
Other times, you
might feel sad, angry, and confused especially if you are having a tough time
adjusting to change. It can be the change of weather, changes in relationships,
or unexpected events. During the autumn season, it is recommended to restore
your energy and improve yourself. You can let go of negative thoughts caused by
negative comments. These negative comments caused by a friend, partner, or
family member are so debilitating to your health.
Similarly, those same negative feelings caused by someone make you feel sad and feel unloved. Moreover, the autumn season makes you meditate on a deeper level for self-acceptance, self-worth, self-love, self-improvement, and self-reflection. Self-reflection is so vital for you to boost your self-esteem. This is the moment to accept those harsh words and throw them away. Often those harmful words do not make you see your true self.
Meditating in the
autumn season makes you see your self-worth as a person. However, if you have
doubts, feel undecided, or feel nervous because of the changes; Meditation can
assist you to feel peaceful with your thoughts and yourself. One way to
meditate is by connecting with what you see in nature. If you have a garden,
take your time to observe, inspect, and feel the autumn breezes. Feel the
autumn warmth and the chilly weather at night.
If it rains
during the fall season, observe the raindrops on the leaves. Smell your roses
and other flowers. Touch your plants gently as you breathe. Practice visual
meditation in your garden. Walk silently, remove the dry leaves, and weeds, and
touch the plants gently.
The second way to
meditate is by practicing gratitude as you self-reflect. Close your eyes in a
comfortable position. Say to yourself, " I am thankful for knowing you.
" Inhale and say, " Thank you for letting me be the person I want to
be." Exhale and say, " I forgive myself without having anger."
Open your eyes
and say, " Thank you for giving me an opportunity." Continue
breathing exercises while practicing gratitude and forgiveness. Positive
affirmations, mantras, and mudras can help you feel serene. Hug yourself and
say, " Thank you for not giving up on me." Then end your meditation
with the following words, " I'm worthy, self-respected, and accept change
in my lifestyle."
The third way to
meditate in the fall season is by using guided meditations. For example, the
leaves continue falling but I will not give up. The leaves fall like my tears,
but I will not quit. As the leaves fall, new plants are being harvested. I
might feel sad as a lonely tree, but my dreams will blossom.
If you do not
have time for a guided meditation, you can meditate by reading autumn poetry.
Reflect and feel grateful. Practice yoga with meditation or write down your
thoughts as you meditate. Let go of your worries with an autumn journal. Here
