Christmas Breakfast
There
are so many ways to have a Christmas breakfast that your family can enjoy. A
Christmas breakfast can be made at home especially if you plan it in advance.
One effortless way to make breakfast for Christmas and during the holidays is
to make scrambled eggs. Using the ingredients that you have; you can make an
interesting and delicious breakfast. Also, by adding vegetables and
salsa.
In this example,
chayote squash was added to the side of the scrambled eggs. Additionally, a
side dish of potatoes and avocado on the side. Everything in this meal was made
at home except for the salsa. Other times, you can use leftover vegetables and
leftovers for your breakfast side dishes. Here is the recipe for making this
Christmas breakfast.
Ingredients:
Eggs
One onion
Chayote squash
Potatoes
Avocado
Salsa
Ground black
pepper
Extra virgin
olive oil or light butter
Preparation and
Cooking Time:
Wash and peel the
potatoes. Slice the potatoes and boil them in water in a pot. Wash and peel the
chayote squash. Slice it and remove the white area of the squash. Add the
slices to another pot with water and boil it.
Once the
vegetables are soft, turn off the stove. Peel and slice half of an onion. In a
skillet, add light butter or olive oil and add the onions. Grill the onions.
After that add the eggs.
In another pot,
add cooking spray or light butter. Then add the slices of the potatoes. Cook
the potatoes until they are golden brown. After that turn off the stove. Wash
and slice one avocado.
Continue
scrambling the eggs. Serve the scrambled eggs. Use small containers to serve
the salsa and the squash. Add ground black pepper to the squash and add avocado
on the side. Serve immediately and enjoy your Christmas breakfast.
This breakfast can be eaten on Christmas morning. However, you can eat this breakfast anytime of the year. Do not forget to have breakfast, especially before you start doing your holiday preparations. You can serve this Christmas breakfast with orange juice, coffee, or your favorite hot tea.
