Embroidering a Beanie by Hand
Embroidering a beanie by hand can take two or three days to do depending on the shape of the beanie. Also, the selected design for the embroidery. Make sure your beanie has a stretchable fabric to do your embroidery. In this tutorial, a heart shape was embroidered, and sequins were added to the beanie. Here are the instructions for making this embroidered beanie.
Materials:
Embroidery thread
Embroidery
needle
Beanie
Sequins
Regular
thread
Regular needle
Scissors
Wash a beanie and
let it air dry. Begin by inserting embroidery thread and an embroidery needle
into the center of the beanie. Make a heart shape with the thread. After that
continue looping the thread until it looks like a heart. Then continue
embroidering the heart onto the beanie.
It is
recommended to fold the bottom half of the beanie away from the embroidered
section. Be careful in getting thread in the embroidered area. Continue
embroidering the heart. Next, trim the thread. Once the heart is embroidered
add the sequins.
Use
regular thread and a regular needle to sew the sequins. Depending on the size
of the sequins and the size of the embroidered heart, you might need many
sequins. This beanie required eight sequins for the embroidered heart. Trim the
leftover threads with scissors. Wash the beanie in reverse and have fun wearing
your embroidered beanie.
