National Men's Health Month in June

The entire month of June is National Men’s Health Month. Men who experienced trauma at an early age have a tough time managing their emotions. Also, they might have a negative self-image about themselves. Furthermore, trauma from abuse can make them have depression, anxiety, insomnia, and other health conditions. As well as having a tough time with their intimate relationship with their partner and having friendships.

Although National Men's Health Month is about men's health issues, women can participate by encouraging their husband, sons, cousins, dads, or their male relatives about men's health. Additionally, supporting them and helping them with their health issues. Often men are silent when it comes to pain, balance budgets, sexual wellness, weight, job stress, and other items. Therefore, be there to listen to your son, husband, dad, or other male relatives. Educate yourself and get educational resources about men's health.

Do healthy habits together to encourage healthier eating and exercise together. Quit smoking and limit drinking alcohol. Follow doctor recommendations and make sure he gets medical checkups. As well as going to the dentist for regular dental cleanings, crowns, root canals, or braces. Encourage him to feel self-confident and have positive self-esteem.

Comment on his appearance, his cooking, his abilities, and other things to help him build up a positive self-image. Be kind and do not give too many comments all at once. Have an open communication with him and do not laugh about his feelings or health issues. Although some health issues might be confusing, embarrassing, or uncomfortable to discuss; It is best to communicate in a calm manner and listen to him to understand what he needs. Be honest with him so he can be honest with you.

Share your fears, your doubts, and other feelings with him. Also be optimistic so he can feel optimistic and comfortable in sharing his fears, his doubts, and his feelings. Practice relaxation techniques such as meditation, breathing exercises, and walking meditation together. Give him space if it is necessary. Seek professional guidance if he has severe depression, anxiety, insomnia, or other health conditions.

Love him and give him emotional support. Participate in men's health webinars, health classes, workshops, or health fairs. Wear blue in June for men's health awareness and post information about Men's Health Month in social media. Additionally dedicate one week at a time to discuss depression, insomnia, anxiety, heart health, cancer, and other health conditions that affect men to your partner. Do not force him to tell you everything but be there to listen and have compassion.

Do not have expectations about changing his eating habits and other habits all at once. Take things slowly and be expressive with your thoughts and your medical conditions with him. Do fun activities together and make him feel confident. If necessary, accompany him to see his doctor once a year or go together to get your yearly medical exams.
