Seven Calming Essential Oils

There are a several calming essential oil scents that can be used to reduce your stress levels. Some scents can be worn an hour before going to work.  Other scents can be inhaled during your break from work. While other scents can be used at night before going to sleep.  I have created a list of some of my favorite essential oil scents.

One of my favorite scents is Vanilla and Patchouli. The scent of Vanilla calms the brain and prevents sugar cravings. While the scent of Patchouli is used for relieving anxiety, stress, and depression. When these two essential oils are mixed together, it creates a soothing scent which calms the nerves. Also, it balances your emotions.

Another favorite scent is Lavender. I particularly like Lavender essential oil mixed with Vanilla essential oil because of its sedative effect. When you use these two essential oils an hour before going to sleep, you will feel relaxed and it clears your mind from negative thoughts. You won’t have any trouble falling asleep when these scents are infused together. These scents can be worn before going to sleep, inhaled, or sprayed onto your pillow.

Other favorite scents are citrus essential oils such as Oranges and Lemons. The Orange essential oil is used for stress, anxiety, and it promotes sleep too. Lemon essential oil is used for insomnia, nervous tension, anxiety, and it induces sleep too. Lemon essential oil can be used during work because it keeps you alert and helps you concentrate more.

Another scent that promotes alertness, creativity, and pain relief is Peppermint essential oil. Peppermint essential oil helps you focus, clears the mind, and relieves your headaches. This essential oil  helps with respiratory problems and it is good for blood circulation when it is used during a Swedish massage.

It is used as an antidepressant and helps with severe nervous tension. Here are some Websites that have more information to these essential oils:
