A Quick and Simple Chicken Lettuce Wrap


Chicken lettuce wraps are quick and simple to make. It does not require that many ingredients either. However, these chicken lettuce wraps do not have salad dressing. Instead, these lettuce wraps have a few spoons of light mayonnaise. Yet, these chicken lettuce wraps will delight your family. 

Ingredients: 

1 Tomato

1 or 2 Lettuce Boats

Bell Peppers

Onions 

Chicken 

Light Mayonnaise

First, prepare the chicken in advance with bell peppers and onions. You can use any spice for flavoring your chicken. In this example, lemon and pepper were used to flavor this chicken lettuce wrap. Second, make sure the bell peppers are soft and fully cooked. You can grill the bell peppers to boost the flavor of these lettuce wraps. 

After the chicken, bell peppers, and onions are cooked; You can wash and slice one tomato. Wash and dry two lettuce boats. Spread one or two spoons of light mayonnaise on the lettuce boats. Third, place the tomato slices on top of the lettuce boats. Add small pieces of chicken with bell peppers and onions. This recipe serves one person. But you can add more ingredients to make more lettuce wraps if needed. Enjoy!

Taking care of your teeth is easy by following these few steps in the morning and at night. To prevent cavities, you must avoid or limit your consumption of sweets. Drinking water, green tea, and milk can reduce bad breath. Also, breathing through your nose can prevent bad breath from wearing face masks. Chewing sugar-free gum will keep your mouth from getting dry.

Eggplant for Diabetes and Your Health


Making eggplant is an easy side dish to make at home. Eggplants help the digestive system and the cardiovascular system. In addition, it improves the memory of the brain and helps the brain to function better. Eggplants have vitamins such a vitamin C, vitamin K, and vitamin A. Besides vitamins, it has minerals such as potassium, magnesium, and iron.

Eggplants may prevent cancer and may help with diabetes. It has fiber which reduces sugar levels. Also, eggplants have antioxidants. You can also add eggplants to one of your meals to lower the bad cholesterol.  Here is the recipe for making this eggplant side dish.

Ingredients:

½ of white or yellow onions

One big tomato

Marinara Sauce

One tomato bouillon

One medium-sized eggplant

Garlic (optional)

Green Olives (optional)

Extra Virgin Olive Oil (optional)

First, wash the eggplant and the tomato. Second, slice off the ends of the eggplant. Third, slice it in half and make it in cubes. Fourth, slice the tomato and set it aside. Fifth, in one pot, add water and the cubed pieces of the eggplant. 

Boil the eggplant for four minutes. Once it is soft and tender, remove it from the boiled water. In one skillet, add slices of onions and slices of one tomato. Add the marinara sauce. If the marinara sauce has no garlic, you can add a small clove of garlic. 

However, it is optional. You can also add a small amount of olive oil or a little bit of water for the cooking process. After you have all the ingredients in the skillet, add the cubed pieces of the eggplant. Stir occasionally. After a few minutes, serve the eggplant side dish with green olives. DIY Monogram Hand Lotion with a Keychain


Monograms give a personalized look to hand lotion bottles. This monogram hand lotion bottle tutorial takes approximately twenty to thirty minutes to do. You can use your favorite colors to personalize your hand lotion bottles. You can use a stencil for the monogram letter or paint a letter by hand. Here is the tutorial for painting your monogram hand lotion with a key chain. 

Materials: 

Paintbrushes

Acrylic paint 

Empty hand sanitizer bottles with keychains 

Clear topcoat paint 

Clear Double-Sided Tape

First, remove the keychains from the hand sanitizer bottles. Second, wash and remove the labels from the empty hand sanitizer bottles. Let the bottles air dry before painting. Next, add double-sided tape horizontally on each bottle. Third, paint the hand sanitizer bottles in the area where there is no tape. 

Wait for the paint to dry. Remove the double-sided tape. Continue painting the blank areas of the hand sanitizer bottles. Once again, wait for the paint to dry. Then, use a thin paintbrush with acrylic paint to paint the first letter of your name. 


Wait for the paint to dry. After that paint a clear topcoat on everything that has acrylic paint. Last, add the keychains and lotion to your hand-painted monogram lotion bottle. You can add your lotion bottle to the side of your tote bag or handbag. These monogram lotion bottles with keychains can also be given as gifts for your friends using their initials.

Avocado Sourdough Toast


Sourdough bread is good for controlling your sugar levels. It is easily digested. Additionally, sourdough bread is prebiotic which helps the digestive system. There is also gluten-free sourdough bread which is softer in texture. This recipe does not require too many ingredients. 

There are variations in making toasted avocado bread. You can accompany the avocado toasted bread with a soup or with a salad. Also, you can use any type of bread. Avocados can also be a substitute for mayonnaise or to cut down on mayonnaise. Here is the recipe for this sourdough avocado toast. 

Ingredients: 

1 hard-boiled egg

1/2 of an Avocado

1 Slice of sourdough bread

Cilantro leaves

Green olives with pimentos

Soup (optional) 

Begin toasting the bread. Next, use half of an avocado and smash it. After that layer the bread with the avocado. Then, put the cilantro leaves onto the bread. Slice one hard-boiled egg in half and place the egg slices on top of the bread.

Last, add the green olives with the pimentos on top of the sliced eggs. Then you can make your soup or use tomato condensed soup to accompany your avocado toast. This recipe is for one person. You can make this for lunch or dinner. Below are links about the benefits of sourdough bread.

World Meditation Day at Home


On May 21st, you can celebrate World Meditation Day at home. Begin meditating in the morning with body stretches. Also, you can make a warm breakfast and practice mindful eating. You can practice yoga. However, if you prefer to meditate in the afternoon, a short meditative walk can help you restore your energy. 

Write one or two pages in your journal while you drink your favorite tea in the afternoon. But if you prefer to meditate at night, you can do body stretches before going to sleep. The rock garden can form a labyrinth or a pathway for walking meditation. Third, add plants that have a soothing scent such as lavender, rosemary, and jasmine. You can also add sculptures that make you feel calm when you see it. Kiwi Parfait


Kiwis has antioxidants, vitamin C, and fiber. It helps your blood pressure, asthma, and skin. Additionally, it helps your digestion. Eating kiwis protects your eyes and immune system. If you like parfaits, here is a recipe using kiwis. 

Ingredients: 

Yogurt

Peaches 

Whipped topping

Walnuts

DIY Floating Locket Choker

Lockets have become popular over the years. Floating lockets are clear lockets with charms, beads, and other items. Each item moves inside the locket. Therefore, floating lockets are a new way to wear lockets. It does not require glue or expensive materials. 

Make sure you have a theme to make your floating locket. In this tutorial, a keychain with a floating locket was the main item to make a floating locket choker. Converting a keychain with a floating locket into a necklace takes about ten or fifteen minutes to do. It will create a fun and romantic fashion statement. Here is the tutorial for making this floating locket choker. 

 

Materials: 

Jewelry Pliers 

Floating Locket with a key chain

Sequins

1 Charm

One premade choker 

Memory Wire Cutters




Remove the floating locket from the keychain with a memory wire cutter. Keep the jump ring intact when you are carefully removing the key chain and the locket. After that choose a charm for your locket. In this example, the Eiffel Tower charm is the main focal point of the necklace. Remove the jump ring of the charm. Next, open the locket and gently place the sequins inside.

Last, insert the charm in the center of the locket. The charm will continue moving inside the locket with the sequins. Open the jump ring and insert the choker. How to Begin Meditation as an Older Adult?



It is Meditation month! May is considered the month for meditating. Meditation can be a supplementary resource for high blood pressure and for depression in older adults. Meditation as an older adult should not be a difficult task to do. It can be done lying down, sitting on a chair, or in the form of walking.

Additionally, Yoga can be done with a chair by doing slow movements. Meditating lowers your blood pressure and makes you have a good mood too! As adults get older, the number one complaint is lack of sleep. Therefore, meditating will improve your sleep or make you relax enough to promote sleep.
