Turmeric and Paprika Chicken with Rice

Adding a few spices to your diet will improve your health over time. Some spices protect your eyes, helps with your blood pressure, and stimulates your brain for sleep. One spice that does these three items is Paprika. This red spice is made of peppers and has vitamin A, vitamin, B, vitamin E, and Iron. If you are anemic, this spice will help you produce more red blood cells. Also, it is loaded with antioxidants and it keeps your heart healthy.

One way to incorporate this spice when you are cooking is by adding Paprika when you make chicken, beef, and soups. This spice will add color to your meals and will add flavor to your meals. It isn't spicy because it is made from bell peppers. Before making any changes to your diet, consult with your primary doctor. Here is the recipe for this Turmeric and Paprika chicken with rice.

Ingredients

1 Green Bell Pepper
1/2 of an onion (white or yellow onions)
1 package of chicken breasts
Lemon and Pepper Seasoning
Ground Turmeric
Ground Paprika
Cilantro
Salt (Optional)
1 box of rice or one bag of rice

First, wash and remove the fat of the chicken. Chop the chicken in small pieces. After that Rub the Lemon and Pepper seasoning, paprika, and one teaspoon of turmeric to the chicken. Wash the bell pepper and remove the seeds. Chop the bell pepper in long slices. Next, peel an onion and chop it in half. Slice the onions.

After that place the chicken in one skillet or pot with water. Add the sliced onions and the bell peppers. Next, wash the cilantro and remove the stems. Add the cilantro leaves to the chicken.  Let it cook for about twenty or thirty minutes in water to let the bells peppers get soft. While that is cooking, in another pot add the rice and the water. Cook the rice for about seventeen minutes or follow the directions from the box. After everything is ready, you can add salt which is optional. This meal serves three or four people. Here are more resources about Paprika.

Limit your Cell Phone Use

One of the causes of anxiety can be the use of social media on your cell phone. However, there are ways to reduce your stress from social media. First, turn off your cell phone for thirty or forty minutes a day which will allow you to relax, to feel less anxious, and to make better decisions. Second, take a walk outdoors for thirty or forty minutes and give some time for yourself to unwind. It might not be easy at first but making a habit of turning off your cell phone for a few minutes a day will allow you to relax.

Another way is to set a time frame for disconnecting yourself from social media. For one hour, work on your favorite hobbies, exercise, meditate, or do Yoga. Spend time with your friends and family members. Turn off your cell phone notifications and silent your cell phone. Delete cell phone apps you no longer use or apps you don’t use frequently.

Also, place your cell phone in another room for one hour or place a basket on a corner of your desk. Do not think about your cell phone or who might call you. Another way is to use a cell phone app that blocks you from using your social media sites and limits your time from using those apps. In addition, you can use the “Do Not Disturb” feature on your cell phone where you can set a time limit for not receiving notifications. Overall, you will feel less stressed, less negative, and less overwhelmed. Here are more resources about limiting yourself from using your cell phone.

Acrostic Poetry in Photo Images

Acrostic poetry is a fun way to put words together and to write down your thoughts. It is a great way to learn new words and to keep your mind busy. Acrostic poems consist of one word which is the main theme of the poem. The word can be a person, place, or thing or any other word from the dictionary. Then, for every letter, you find a word to start the sentence.

It doesn't have to rhyme and there are three ways to make an Acrostic poem. One way is to write the words for the first letter of each word. The second way is to write the words in the middle of each line. The third way is to write the words at the end of the line. The main word lines up vertically. Here are more resources to write your own Acrostic poem.

How to Meditate when You are Worried?

Worrying too much isn't good for your health and for your mind. Worrying makes it difficult to concentrate and makes it difficult to get some rest at night. One way to stop worrying is by letting go of your worries. Close your eyes and imagine all your worries going into a box. Then take a deep breath and imagine the box being empty.

By listening to guided meditations, you will find it easier to let go of the worries that are disrupting your sleep. Another way is by writing your worries and finding solutions for them. If the worries don't have any solutions, accept the way it is and stop yourself from overthinking. Also, take a few minutes to talk about your worries to a friend or a family member. This will help you release any built-up emotions that you may have.

Furthermore, the other person might have a solution to your worries or might give you the support that you need to continue with your aspirations. Most of the time worrying is a waste of time and energy for the brain. Too much worrying causes more harm to the brain and to the body. Therefore, do not worry about what you can’t control and what can’t be changed.  Here are more resources about how to stop worrying.
