Turmeric and Paprika Chicken with Rice

Adding a few spices to your diet will improve your health over time. Some spices protect your eyes, helps with your blood pressure, and stimulates your brain for sleep. One spice that does these three items is Paprika. This red spice is made of peppers and has vitamin A, vitamin, B, vitamin E, and Iron. If you are anemic, this spice will help you produce more red blood cells. Also, it is loaded with antioxidants and it keeps your heart healthy.

One way to incorporate this spice when you are cooking is by adding Paprika when you make chicken, beef, and soups. This spice will add color to your meals and will add flavor to your meals. It isn't spicy because it is made from bell peppers. Before making any changes to your diet, consult with your primary doctor. Here is the recipe for this Turmeric and Paprika chicken with rice.

Ingredients

1 Green Bell Pepper
1/2 of an onion (white or yellow onions)
1 package of chicken breasts
Lemon and Pepper Seasoning
Ground Turmeric
Ground Paprika
Cilantro
Salt (Optional)
1 box of rice or one bag of rice

First, wash and remove the fat of the chicken. Chop the chicken in small pieces. After that Rub the Lemon and Pepper seasoning, paprika, and one teaspoon of turmeric to the chicken. Wash the bell pepper and remove the seeds. Chop the bell pepper in long slices. Next, peel an onion and chop it in half. Slice the onions.

After that place the chicken in one skillet or pot with water. Add the sliced onions and the bell peppers. Next, wash the cilantro and remove the stems. Add the cilantro leaves to the chicken.  Let it cook for about twenty or thirty minutes in water to let the bells peppers get soft. While that is cooking, in another pot add the rice and the water. Cook the rice for about seventeen minutes or follow the directions from the box. After everything is ready, you can add salt which is optional. This meal serves three or four people.
