Zucchini Vegetable Soup


Eating Zucchinis will help with the inflammation caused by rheumatism. Zucchinis improve the health of the eyes and for the thyroid. Zucchini is also called Italian Squash which has Vitamin A, Vitamin C, Vitamin B6, and antioxidants. This sweet vegetable can be used as a side dish, in soups, salads, and pizza. Here is the recipe for making this zucchini vegetable soup. 

Ingredients:

1 Italian Squash
2 Yucca Root
One bag of carrots
A few cilantro leaves
2 Chicken Bouillons or 2 cans of chicken broth
1 Cabbage

Wash and peel the carrots. Then, chop the carrots into small pieces. Wash the cabbage and chop the cabbage into small pieces. In one cooking pot, add the cabbage and the carrots in water. After that wash and peel the yucca root. 

Chop the yucca. Cook the yucca in a small cooking pot with water. Once the yucca root has been cooking for a few minutes,  remove the yucca from the pot. Then, cut the yucca into smaller pieces. After that add the yucca to the cabbage and to the carrots. 

While those three vegetables are cooking in the pot, wash the Italian squash. Cut the Italian squash into small pieces and add it to the rest of the vegetables that are cooking. Then, add the two chicken bouillons or the chicken broth to the vegetables. After that add a few cilantro leaves. After an hour and a half, this soup will be ready to be served. This soup serves approximately four people.

Meditating in the Summer


According to John Lubbock, " Rest is not idleness, and to lie sometimes on the grass under trees on a summer's day, listening to the murmur of the water, or watching the clouds float across the sky, is by no means a waste of time." In fact, meditating in the summer will help you relax and to slow down. Smelling the ocean breeze, seeing the ocean waves, and feeling the cold water will help you feel calm in those busy summer days. Therefore, finding some time to relax will help you enjoy your vacation. Listen to guided meditations and to water sounds which will make it easier to fall asleep in the summer nights. 

In addition, you can meditate at the beach or at the park for three or five minutes. Find some time to do your favorite hobbies or summer activities. Strawberry Smoothie for your Health


Strawberries are beneficial for your eye health, immune system, and for your blood pressure. Also, strawberries whiten your teeth. Did you know that strawberries have omega 3’s that give a boost to your mood? In addition, strawberries contain vitamin C, vitamin B9, and potassium. Strawberries can be added to your salads, smoothies, and in your yogurt. 

First, wash and cut the strawberries and put inside a blender. Add one cup of milk and a few spoons of greek plain yogurt in the blender with the strawberries. Blend everything for a few minutes. National Stress Awareness Month


Since 1992 Stress Awareness Month was created to understand what causes stress and what can be done to reduce it. First, find out what triggers your stress. There are three main types of stress. Stress can be Acute, Episodic, and Chronic. Each type of stress is treated in different ways and has different symptoms.

One type of stress is caused by the daily demands and pressures of the past and of the present which is called Acute Stress. The second type of stress is called Episodic Acute Stress which is due to too much worrying and have too much to do. The third type of stress is called Chronic Stress which is stress that continues and there is no conclusion. Second, take care of yourself. Talk about your problems to a psychologist, to a friend, or a family member.

Then, have a spa day at a local spa or make your own spa day at home. Nonetheless, find time to take a break to relax. Clove Essential Oil


Clove essential oil can be used for toothaches, headaches, and for meditation. This essential oil clears your mind and improves your mood. It also helps to combat fatigue and helps with exhaustion. In addition, clove essential oil can be used in massage therapy.  This spicy warm scent can be used in aromatherapy. 

Clove essential oil can be blended with citrus essential oils along with a carrier oil. It has antibacterial properties and can be used to treat acne. However, this oil has to be diluted with a carrier oil. Some carrier oils are coconut oil, jojoba oil, or olive oil. Beef Fajita Pita Bread with Spinach & Asparagus


Eating Asparagus and Spinach will give you energy and you will feel less tired. If you have anemia, Asparagus and Spinach have iron and fiber. Asparagus has vitamin C, vitamin A, vitamin K, and iron. One of the benefits of Asparagus is that it aids in digestion and lowers your blood pressure. Spinach also has vitamin C, vitamin K, and iron. Besides the iron content, Spinach protects the eyes, improves the blood pressure, and controls diabetes and helps with anemia. 

Eating beef once or twice a week will help you get some iron and protein. Protein helps your body build muscles and sends the necessary minerals to the blood. Beef has magnesium, B vitamins, and iron. By absorbing B vitamins, you will have more energy throughout the day. Here is the recipe for making beef fajitas with spinach inside pita bread and asparagus on the side. 

Ingredients:
1 Beef Breakfast Steak 
1 Red Bell Pepper
1 Lemon
A few  Cilantro or Coriander leaves
1 White or Yellow Onion
Lemon and Pepper Seasoning
Chile and Lime Seasoning Blend
A few Spinach leaves or 1 can of Spinach
1 Beef Bouillon
A few pieces of  asparagus  or 1 can of Asparagus
One or more Pita bread
Salt (Optional)

First, wash the meat. Then, cut the meat in small slices. After that add Lemon and Pepper with the Chile Lime Seasoning. Mix the meat with the seasonings. Set the meat on one side of the counter. 

Wash one red bell pepper and remove the seeds. Cut the bell pepper in small long slices. After that peel an onion and chop the onion in small long slices. Then add the cilantro leaves.  Next, in one skillet, add the onions, bell peppers, and cilantro leaves.


First, cook the meat in the slow heat setting.  Add water and one beef bouillon to the skillet. Gradually add more heat and more water if needed while the meat is cooking with the vegetables. While the meat is cooking, wash the asparagus and cut the bottom stems. Next, cook the asparagus in one pot or use one can of Asparagus.  Then in another pot cook the spinach leaves or use one can of Spinach. 



There is no need to add salt to the asparagus or to the spinach if you are using the canned vegetables. Once everything is cooked, open one pita bread. Insert the meat, bell peppers, onions, and spinach inside the pita bread. Place a small amount of Asparagus on the side. Wash one lemon and cut the lemon in small slices. Then, add two lemon slices on the side. This recipe serves two or more people.

Relax with a Face Mask


Sometimes, stress makes your skin more vulnerable to acne, redness, and other skin issues. Therefore, you can make your own DIY face mask or sugar scrub with a few ingredients from your kitchen. Once a week or once a month, you can relax with a face mask made out of egg whites, sugar, and lemon. This mask absorbs the oil from the skin and dries any pimples that might be on the skin. While vitamin C will help with the production of collagen and tightens the skin. If you have dry skin, you can also benefit from an egg white mask. 

Another easy face mask to make at home are cucumbers with yogurt. Cucumbers hydrate the skin. When cucumbers are combined with Aloe Vera, it will help calm a sunburn. Yogurt removes the dead skin and will make your skin glow. Make sure you rinse the mask with cold water because it will close your pores. 

Face masks hydrate the skin and improve the texture of your skin. In contrast, sugar scrubs exfoliate the skin and removes dry flakes from the skin. Using sugar and olive oil will help make your skin feel smooth and soft. Before you make your own DIY masks or scrubs, it is best to consult with a dermatologist. How to have more Patience?


As Lao Tzu once said, " Nature does not hurry, yet everything is accomplished." Patience isn't an easy task to do.  Sometimes, you need to slow down and relax for a few minutes. Take deep breaths and try to multitask less. Make a list of the duties that need to be done and write down the due dates in another column.

Eliminate certain tasks that don't need to be done right away. By doing this you will have less stress and less pressure to finish everything all at once. If you start to get impatient, frustrated, or angry try to calm down by doing counting meditation.  Get rid of any expectations that you might have about the outcome. How to write a Cinquain?


A cinquain is a poem that uses nouns, adjectives, and verbs to describe animals, seasons, and other objects. A Cinquain is used to express your feelings and your mood. It is different than a Haiku. First, you will need to write a noun. Next, you will need two adjectives that describe the noun. 

After that, you will need three verbs that describe the first noun that you wrote. Then, you will need to write a phrase with four words about the noun. Last, you will need another noun that is a synonym for the first noun. Make sure you have a total of five lines. Have fun writing your own cinquain.

Tuna Sandwich with Carrots and Pickles


Gherkin pickles have vitamin A for the immune system. Eating pickles are good for the liver and for ulcers. Also, pickles help with the digestion process. Although, it may contain too much salt if you have high blood pressure. Before including pickles to your diet, consult with your primary doctor. Here is the recipe to make this tuna sandwich with baby carrots and whole Gherkin pickles. 

Ingredients:

1 can of tuna in water
Half of an onion 
Two Celery Stalks
A few pieces of baby carrots
One or two Whole Gherkin Pickles
1 Lemon
2 or 4 Slices of Bread

First, rinse the celery stalk and chop the celery in thin slices. Next, peel off one onion and cut it in half. Chop the onions. If you have a vegetable chopper gadget, you can chop the celery and the onions together. Afterward, open one can of tuna and remove the water of the tuna. Then, mix the tuna with the celery and the onions. Add lemon juice. 

Then, you get two slices of bread and spread the tuna onto the bread. Once that is done, you can rinse a few baby carrots and add it on one side of the plate. Then, you can add one or two whole gherkin pickles on the side. This tuna recipe serves two people. Here are more resources about pickles.

How to Smile More?


Smiling more often is good for the immune system. One way to smile more is by making a list of what makes you smile. Another way is to compliment someone and make them smile. Also, by doing acts of kindness by getting someone a cup of coffee or a meal. Thinking good thoughts about an event or of a loved one will make you smile more. 

Nonetheless, don't be embarrassed to smile at someone. The first Friday of October is World Smile Day. However, every day should be a day to smile more. Take your time to smile at someone and you will give a boost to the other person's mood. Here are more resources for smiling.

Poetry about Memories in Photo Images


Reading poetry or simply reading something that you like will help you to relax. In addition, if you read out loud it will give you a brain boost. You can also learn new words and build your vocabulary. Reading has been one of my favorite pastimes. Reading and writing also stimulate the mind and help you to be more creative.
