How to have energy after work?

After a long day of work, you might feel too tired to continue doing household chores or working on your favorite hobbies. There are several ways to feel energetic after work. As soon as you get home, you can do a few stretches and take a walk. This will wake you up and it will help with the circulation of the blood.

Whether you are walking inside your home or outside, you will feel a surge of energy and you will warm up your muscles. Another way to feel energetic is by having a few moments of some alone time. Take some time to pamper yourself by getting a massage, doing your nails, or taking a bath with your favorite essential oil. Relaxing for a few minutes will help you forget about any negative event that happened at work. Wash your face and meditate for a few minutes.

Limit yourself to one or two cups of caffeine per day. By doing this you will be able to sleep better and restore your energy levels. You can also limit yourself from having too much sugar. This will help you have fewer mood swings and have more energy throughout the day. Staying hydrated will also wake you up.

Shorten your to-do list of household chores and this will give you some time to relax. If you are too tired after coming home from work, then the best recommendation is taking a nap. After taking a nap, you can exercise for a little bit before you do any household chore. Nonetheless, make sure you have a good breakfast in the morning and take vitamins. Here are some resources for having more energy after work.

Using Poetry to Meditate

Writing poetry can be a great way to release stress, to get creative, and to learn new words that may rhyme. Poetry can be used as a form of meditation because it allows your mind to escape for a few minutes. Writing your thoughts in the form of poetry may reveal any hidden emotions or feelings that were buried inside. Nonetheless, not all poetry has to rhyme but it is a good tool for exercising the mind. There are so many websites where you can write your poetry, share your poetry, and meet other poets.

One of my favorite websites for sharing your poetry and writing your poetry online was Starlite CafĂ©. You can write your own poetry using a pen name or your own name. Writing poetry in High School was one of my favorite hobbies. Nonetheless, you can read poetry online for a few minutes. Then you can write any comment you may have for the poet.

Using poetry to meditate will allow you to express yourself and to use your imagination. At first, you might find it difficult to write about your feelings or you might feel hesitant to write in the form of poetry. Some of the words might not make sense to you or the words might sound silly. No matter how your poem comes out, you will feel calmer and less stressed out. The more you write in a poetic manner, you will improve your vocabulary, learn new words, and feel less emotional. Here are more resources about using poetry as a form of meditation.

Fruit Water Fusions

Did you know your brain is eighty percent water? After your Yoga or exercise routine, you can drink a fruit water fusion. Eating fruits and water will hydrate your body. Not only will it hydrate your body, but you will also nourish your body with vitamins, flavonoids, and boost your metabolism. It is easy to make fruit water fusions and you don't need a lot of ingredients.

For this fruit water fusion, you will need one or two Persian Cucumbers, one or two Tangerines, and one Lemon. First, cut one or two Persian Cucumbers. Second, cut one Lemon in small slices. After that peal one Tangerine. Fill one pitcher with water and ice. If you prefer to put fruit water fusions in your water bottle or mason jar, I would recommend cutting the fruit in smaller pieces. Also, these fruit water fusions can be prepared one day before your exercise routine.

Persian Cucumbers, Tangerines, and Lemons all have vitamin C. Persian Cucumbers can be eaten with or without its skin. In addition, Persian Cucumbers have Vitamin A and fiber. While Tangerines have flavonoids and potassium. Last, Lemons help absorb iron and improves the function of the brain. These Fruit water fusions can be made any time of the year and you can add mint leaves to change the flavor.  Here are more resources about the health benefits of these fruits and health benefits of water.

Meditation & Cleaning

As William Morris once said, “Have nothing in your home that you do not know to be useful or believe to be beautiful.” Once again, it is time for Spring cleaning and getting rid of items you no longer use. Spring cleaning has always been frustrating, stressful, and confusing. However, you can clean for a few minutes a day and meditate at the same time. By doing this you will no longer see cleaning as a chore or have negative feelings about doing the chore.

One way to meditate is by washing the dishes. Listen to the water and see the soap bubbles while you wash the dishes by hand. Carefully, stack the dishes without having any negative thought. Throw away any broken or chipped plates, mugs, or glassware. By getting rid of broken items, you will feel a sense of relief.

Washing dishes is not the only way to meditate. You can clean one area of the kitchen, bedroom, or any other area that needs to be uncluttered. Clean one room at a time and get rid of items that have holes, cracks, and items you no longer use. In addition, listen to music and use a timer. Last, change the scent of your liquid soap when you wash the dishes or clean the floor.

Here are more suggestions:

1. Get rid of items that make you remember any negative event and items that bring sadness when you look at them.

2. Get rid of items that have never been used.

3. Have less items that you can use and enjoy.

Here are more resources about meditating while you clean.

Favorite Teas for Spring

Are you looking for a new flavor tea to try for the Spring season? One of my favorite teas for Spring is Orange Pekoe tea because it strengthens the immune system. Drinking tea during the Spring season might prevent you from getting sick more often because some teas have Vitamin C and combat colds. In addition, the Orange Pekoe tea is full of antioxidants and improves your metabolism. Furthermore, the scent of oranges or any other citrus scent has a calming effect.

Another favorite tea of mine is Rose Hip tea. This tea also strengthens the immune system and protects your skin. In addition, Rose Hip tea is full of vitamin C which boosts the immune system and antioxidants. This tea might help with arthritis because it reduces the inflammation. Last, this tea can help with skin flare ups of eczema and with dry skin issues.

Therefore, by trying new flavored teas, you will find that all these teas have healthy benefits that can improve our health. One tea that is good for digestion and for eliminating toxins is Peach Tea. Just like the Rose Hip Tea, this tea has vitamin C, but it is also loaded with potassium. This tea has a soothing and calming scent which can prevent certain cancers. It also helps your heart to produce more electricity, and for maintaining your weight. What is your favorite tea to drink in the Spring Season? Here are more resources about Orange Peko, Rose Hip, and Peach Tea. Last, there is also another list of teas from the blog of Mr. Coffee.

Start your Morning in a Positive Way

Why rush and feel overwhelmed with your daily to do list? Perhaps, changing your morning routine will help you feel less stressed out. It is recommended to go to sleep one hour early and to wake up a few minutes earlier. This will allow you to have some time for yourself. Therefore, you will be able to feel more relaxed and readier to tackle your to do list.

In addition, you can write in a notebook or in a journal about any thought that comes to your mind. Writing helps you feel creative and can help change your mindset. After writing down your thoughts, you will feel a surge of relief and will feel better. Also, writing builds your vocabulary and is a good exercise for the brain. Nonetheless, writing for a few minutes a day will improve your mood.

Other ways to start your morning in a positive way is by listening to your favorite music or watching your favorite TV shows. I prefer to watch comedies in the morning. Laughter helps release endorphins, reduces your stress hormones, and lowers your blood pressure. A little bit of exercise, gardening, and meditating outside will boost your mood too. By changing your morning routine, you will feel calmer and less stressed out. Here are more resources with more ideas on how to start your day in a positive way.

Tai Chi for Back Pain

Tai Chi can help you relieve from lower back pain. A few Tai Chi exercises that you can do such as the Back Twist, Hands Waving Clouds, and Tai Chi Bowing. All these movements will help you have more strength, flexibility, and have less tension. Tai Chi can be practiced anytime of the day. It is important to breathe slowly while you do Tai Chi and meditate as you do every movement.

The Back Twist strengthens the muscles in the spine. Anyone can do the Back Twist. This exercise is done standing up and it is considered a warmup exercise. It awakens any muscle that has not been used in a while and it releases any tension that is causing pain. The Back Twist can be done for eight or twelve minutes.

Another Tai Chi exercise is the Hands Waving Clouds.  The Hands Waving Clouds exercise keeps your back straight. Also, this exercise will help you stay calm. Last, the Tai Chi Bowing exercise helps strengthen the lumbar area of the back. Tai Chi helps you have better posture and reduces back pain. Here are more resources about Tai Chi and more lower back pain Tai Chi exercises.

Yoga Poses in the Morning

How do you start your morning routine? Want to feel more energetic in the morning? There are several Yoga poses you can do in the morning to get your blood circulating and to feel more awake throughout the day. By practicing Yoga in the morning, you will have more energy, balance, and strength. You can do the Bow Pose, Dancer Pose, Triangle Pose, Low Lunge, Child’s Pose, and the Cat Pose.

First lay down on the floor and make sure your belly is touching the ground. Then, slowly lift your chest and bend your knees up in the air. Make sure you can touch your ankles. The Bow pose strengthens your back and helps opens the chest area. In addition, it helps with your shoulders and releases any tension you may have especially in the morning.

Another Yoga pose is the Dancer Pose. The Dancer pose is one of my favorite Yoga poses. This pose helps you to maintain your balance, strengthens your muscles, and helps you focus. In addition, this pose strengthens your back and your chest. First, you stand up and lift one leg and hold your ankles. After that you lift the other leg and hold your ankles. It might be difficult at first and it takes time to keep your balance.

The Triangle Pose also strengthens your legs and your hips. It only takes a few minutes to do this pose. The Triangle pose reduces your stress levels and your anxiety. Furthermore, the Triangle Pose helps to improve your digestive tract. Another Yoga pose that strengthens your knees is the Low Lunge Pose.

The Low Lunge Pose improves your balance and helps you stretch your entire body. You will release tension from your hips. While the Cat Pose is great for your spine. This pose strengthens your shoulders, hands, and wrists. After doing this pose, you will improve your blood circulation.

Finally, I like to end my morning Yoga routine with the Child’s Pose. The Child’s pose releases tension from your back and calms the mind. After doing a few Yoga poses in the morning, you will feel less tension and less anxiety. You will feel capable to do anything that is on your to do list. Here are more resources about practicing Yoga in the morning and about Yoga poses.

Five Calming Teas

One of my favorite calming teas is Peppermint tea. Peppermint tea helps get rid of headaches, stomach aches, and lowers your stress levels. Also, this tea helps with sinus issues and improves your brain function. Another great benefit is that it freshens your breath. However, if you suffer from acid reflux, it is not recommended to drink this tea.

My second favorite tea is Chamomile. This tea is also good for stomach aches and helps you sleep better. This tea helps in fighting colds. In addition, chamomile tea freshens your breath and it can be used as a mouthwash. However, if you have allergies to certain flowers, it is recommended to consult with your allergy doctor before drinking this tea.

Another flower tea is Linden Flower or also known as Tila. This tea helps fight colds, helps with migraines, and with anxiety. Tila tea helps you sleep if you have a hard time going to sleep or suffer from insomnia. It also lowers your blood pressure. Yet, you should consult with your primary doctor before drinking this tea especially if you have allergies or take certain medications.

Another favorite tea is Valerian tea. Valerian tea helps you sleep, reduces your stress levels, and helps with anxiety. However, if you don’t like the way this tea tastes, you can add some honey to change the flavor of the tea. This is the best tea to drink at night when you can’t sleep or suffer from insomnia. Another benefit of drinking this tea is that it helps with menstrual cramps and with hot flashes.

Last, the Passion Flower tea is another favorite tea of mine because it helps with insomnia and with anxiety. This tea helps with nervousness and relaxes the mind. In addition, it lowers your blood pressure and helps with depression. It is another tea that should be taken at night because it causes lethargy. All these teas have good benefits for your health. But it is recommended to consult with your primary doctor, before drinking herbal teas due to some of its side effects. Here are more resources about calming teas.

Meditating at Night

Can't sleep at night? Too many thoughts come to your mind at night? One way to have a good night rest is by meditating. First, turn off or silent any electronic devices including your cellphone. Next, you can make some tea labeled sleepy time tea or bedtime tea, or any other tea brand. Afterwards, you can take a few deep breaths and exhale while you drink the sleepy time tea. Next, you can listen to guided meditation stories from the Calm app or from any other meditation app. Also, you can find some sleep guided meditation stories on YouTube.

Another way to get some sleep is by using Lavender essential oil or Lavender lotion. By slathering lotion or essential oil, it will relax your nerves and your muscles. If you don’t like the scent of Lavender, you can use Vanilla, Jasmine, or one of your favorite scents. Then you can massage your hands for a few minutes. After that you can do counting meditation. Counting will help you fall asleep at a faster pace.

However, there are several more ways to meditate for the purpose of getting rest at night. You can listen to music at a very low volume and lay down. After that you can meditate by laying down and think about the positive events that happened throughout the day. Give thanks for what you have learned and have experienced in your life. Here are more resources for meditating at night.

Benefits of Spearmint Essential Oil

Spearmint essential oil can help ease your nervousness, anxiety, insomnia, and headaches.  It has a milder scent than peppermint. This essential oil can help you think positive, clear your nasal passages, and help with depression. When this essential oil is used for meditation, it will help with fatigue and lower your stress levels. This essential oil can also help with osteoarthritis.

Lavender, Peppermint, Basil, and other essential oils can be blended with Spearmint essential oil. Spearmint essential oil can make you feel confident and can improve your mood. Once you inhale this essential oil, you will feel more awake and relaxed. Before using any essential oils, it is recommended to consult with your primary physician.
