What is Loving Kindness Meditation?


Practicing loving kindness meditation will help you love yourself, love others, and will help you forgive. Loving Kindness will also help you feel compassion for others.  This type of meditation can be practiced for 15 or 30 minutes a day. By using a timer, visualizing, and repeating phrases, you will send positive thoughts to yourself and to others. You may experience mixed feelings at first.

After practicing loving kindness for a few weeks, you will start loving yourself. It is recommended to start this meditation with positive thoughts for yourself. Once you love yourself, you will be able to send good mental thoughts to others.
