Five Calming Teas

One of my favorite calming teas is Peppermint tea. Peppermint tea helps get rid of headaches, stomach aches, and lowers your stress levels. Also, this tea helps with sinus issues and improves your brain function. Another great benefit is that it freshens your breath. However, if you suffer from acid reflux, it is not recommended to drink this tea.

My second favorite tea is Chamomile. This tea is also good for stomach aches and helps you sleep better. This tea helps in fighting colds. In addition, chamomile tea freshens your breath and it can be used as a mouthwash. However, if you have allergies to certain flowers, it is recommended to consult with your allergy doctor before drinking this tea.

Another flower tea is Linden Flower or also known as Tila. This tea helps fight colds, helps with migraines, and with anxiety. Tila tea helps you sleep if you have a hard time going to sleep or suffer from insomnia. It also lowers your blood pressure. Yet, you should consult with your primary doctor before drinking this tea especially if you have allergies or take certain medications.

Another favorite tea is Valerian tea. Valerian tea helps you sleep, reduces your stress levels, and helps with anxiety. However, if you don’t like the way this tea tastes, you can add some honey to change the flavor of the tea. This is the best tea to drink at night when you can’t sleep or suffer from insomnia. Another benefit of drinking this tea is that it helps with menstrual cramps and with hot flashes.

Last, the Passion Flower tea is another favorite tea of mine because it helps with insomnia and with anxiety. This tea helps with nervousness and relaxes the mind. In addition, it lowers your blood pressure and helps with depression. It is another tea that should be taken at night because it causes lethargy. All these teas have good benefits for your health. But it is recommended to consult with your primary doctor, before drinking herbal teas due to some of its side effects. Here are more resources about calming teas.
