Acrostic poetry is a fun way to put words together and to write down your thoughts. It is a great way to learn new words and to keep your mind busy. Acrostic poems consist of one word which is the main theme of the poem. The word can be a person, place, or thing or any other word from the dictionary. Then, for every letter, you find a word to start the sentence.
It doesn't have to rhyme and there are three ways to make an Acrostic poem. One way is to write the words for the first letter of each word. The second way is to write the words in the middle of each line. The third way is to write the words at the end of the line. The main word lines up vertically.
