What are the benefits of using Lavender Oil?


Recently, I came across an article in Woman’s World magazine about the use of the essential oil of Lavender. According to the article, there have been recent studies about the use of Lavender and how people have benefited from its use. The essential oil of Lavender can be used for anxiety, insomnia, and for cuts and bruises. The article suggests that by using a few drops of the essential oil of Lavender in a hot bath can help people who are suffering from anxiety. Also, according to WebMD, Lavender can be used for depression, headaches, and for pain. 


Lavender oil has a sedative effect and it is used to relax certain muscles. One way to use Lavender essential oil is with the use of a carrier oil and massaging the oil onto the skin. Another way is by inhaling the Lavender oil in a diffuser which will help as a sleep aid. Lavender oil is used to boost the blood circulation and helps with respiratory problems.  Lavender is widely used in Aromatherapy, lotions, and soaps. However, it is recommended to consult with your medical provider before using Lavender or any other essential oil; Because of allergic reactions or other contraindications.
