How to be More Thankful?

Sometimes, in a busy world, the word “Thank You” is taken for granted. There are so many ways to express our gratitude not only on Thanksgiving Day but every day. Being thankful makes you feel more appreciation for what life has taught you. Also, it makes others feel more appreciation towards you. The whole month of November is known as National Gratitude Month.

There are several ways to celebrate National Gratitude Month. First, you can start a gratitude journal. Writing in a journal for three or five minutes a day will help you release your inner emotions. Being specific to what you are thankful for will help you appreciate your job, life, and relationships. Also, writing a handwritten thank you note to your coworkers will help them feel acknowledged.

Giving someone a small unexpected gift such as flowers, their favorite drink, or their favorite candy will make you feel thankful for having them in your work life. Offering to help someone to clean or to organize their office will make them feel appreciated. Instead of complaining, compliment someone's good attitude and work effort. Giving your time, saying kind words, and slowing down to cherish what life brings will make you have more empathy. Here are more resources about ways to be more thankful.
