Mother's Day Dinner 2026 (Marjoram Chicken)


 If you are planning a Mother's Day dinner at home, you might like this recipe. It is quick and easy to make. Also, it only uses eight spices to make and one vegetable as a side dish. You can use cooked mixed greens or cooked spinach as your side vegetables to eat with chicken. Additionally, you can cook the chicken on a grill or on a skillet. 

Nonetheless, prepare your dining table ahead of time by adding flowers for your mom or for anyone that you know that has become a mother. Add flowers that they like or make their favorite beverage ahead of time. Another tip is to have words of encouragement written on note cards to display in the living room. Then they can read their note cards while watching a movie as they wait for their Mother's Day dinner. Below is the recipe. 


Ingredients:


Marjoram 

Crushed Rosemary 

Ground Ginger 

Onion Powder 

Chili Powder 

Ground Coriander Seed

Paprika 

Curry Powder 

One Packet of Chicken Breasts

One Can of Mixed Greens or Spinach

A Can of Mild Salsa or a Jar of Salsa

Red Bell Peppers 

Half of an Onion


Preparation and Cooking Time:


Wash and rinse bell peppers. Remove the seeds. Slice the bell peppers. Peel an onion and cut it in half. Save half of the onion for another recipe. 


Slice the onions. Add the slices of bell peppers and onions on a skillet or on a grill. Remove the chicken breasts from the packet. Then add the following spices to the chicken: Marjoram, Curry, Chili powder, ginger, rosemary, onion, coriander, and paprika. Cook the chicken on a grill or on a skillet.


Open a can of mixed greens or boil mixed greens in a pot with water. An alternative side vegetable is to boil spinach in a pot with water. Turn the chicken on both sides if you are cooking the chicken on a skillet. Wash and dry the dinner plates as the food is being cooked. Lastly, serve the marjoram chicken with mixed greens or spinach with mild salsa. 


Serve immediately. You can serve this meal with lemonade, iced tea, or another favorite beverage. Save the leftovers in separate containers. After that you can have a relaxing conversation and enjoy the Mother's Day dinner or have their favorite dessert after having dinner. Nevertheless, enjoy your day with all the mothers that you know.


However, you can also celebrate Mother’s Day with someone that feels lonely on this day. You can make this meal for two people and celebrate Mother’s Day with them. Another tip is by making this meal ahead of time and warming up the meal once your guests have arrived.
