Biography, Poetry, and Humor (National Clerihew Day)

Biographical poetry can be profound, humorous, philosophical, and filled with enthusiasm. Yet it can be challenging to explain to someone about your life, dreams, successes, failures, or anything personal in a biography. However, writing a biographical poem can be brief and can make you have a unique perspective about someone with humor. Every year on July 10th, you can practice writing humorous and biographical poetry such as Clerihew poetry. It is named after Edmund Clerihew Bentley who wrote biographical poetry with four lines. 

Also, you can celebrate Edmund Clerihew Bentley on July 10th on National Clerihew Day. Dedicate some time to drafting humorous and biographical poetry for yourself or for making someone laugh and have a good day. Lastly, you can write your Clerihew poetry by keeping your poetry in a rhyming form. 

Rhyme the last words of each line in the poem. Ensure you have four lines. Next include your name in the poem especially if the biographical poem is about yourself. Nonetheless, do include the person's name in the poem to personalize it for their birthday or for decorating their room with poetry. Also, make sure the poem is silly, funny, and can inspire them to feel motivated. 

Add a picture of themselves, a photo sketch of themselves, or something that reminds you about them. Nevertheless, spend time getting to know them before writing a humorous poem for them.
