Self-Image: Lipstick Poetry, Self-Love, & Mindfulness
Practicing
body positivity, self-image, and self-love can be helpful for self-confidence.
However, writing lipstick poetry can be useful for improving self-strength and
self-love. Often including lipstick poetry as part of self-care can help with
self-confidence and exterior beauty with positivity. Dedicate five minutes to
practice self-gratitude, self-love, and self-care with poetry. Use the poetry
theme of your lipstick or lip gloss collection to write a self-reflective
poem.
Additionally,
practicing mindfulness when applying lipstick or lip gloss can help you feel
calm for three minutes or less. When purchasing lipsticks or lip care products
online or in person, practicing mindfulness while selecting the items. Read the
labels, the shades of colors, and ask yourself if you like the selected lip
gloss or lipstick. Also, look for similar shades of lipstick or lip gloss that
have been discontinued to feel reconnected with your self-confidence. Be aware
of how you feel, your mood, and your reactions when seeing the lip care
products with mindfulness.
Lipstick poetry
can be inspirational and meaningful for you. Drafting lipstick poetry can be
done individually or with a group of friends. Write the names of all the
lipsticks and lip gloss collection. Next, think about taking care of your lips,
your feelings when wearing lipstick, and your feelings without lipstick. Use
sticky notes, index cards, pictures of lipsticks, or draw lipsticks to add to
your poetry journals.
You can stack
your lipstick or lip gloss collection together to write a quick poem as a
reminder to improve your self-confidence. Often breaking up with a romantic
relationship can make you feel less confident. Other times, you might feel less
attractive during a romantic relationship. As well as feeling less confident
due to comparisons, competitions, or uncomfortable comments from a toxic
communication environment. In the example, the short poem was used with the
names of the lipsticks from my collection.
Another
way to write about lipstick in poetry is by using descriptive words, metaphors,
and adjectives. Take a picture of your lipstick that you use frequently. You
can use poetry prompt or make a list before drafting your poems. Next, write
how you feel when you wear lipstick or lip gloss. Ask yourself the following
questions to write your poem.
- When did I wear this lipstick? (Night/Day and Events)
- How did I feel wearing this lipstick?
- What does this lipstick or lip gloss remind me?
- How would I feel if lipstick or lip gloss is discontinued?
- What color name is lipstick or lip gloss?
- What day do I go without lipstick or lip gloss?
- What do I look for in purchasing lipstick or lip gloss?
- What do I want to enhance with my lipstick or lip gloss?
- How do I want others to remember my lipstick or lip gloss?
- Why do I select certain colors of lipsticks and lip gloss?
- Make a list of emotions that you experience when wearing lipstick or lip gloss?
After answering
your questions, begin drafting your poems. Do practice self-honesty and
self-expression. Applying lipstick or lip gloss and writing a quick poem for
improving body positivity can be helpful. Lastly, end the poem with a positive
memory, encouragement, or with a personalized phrase. Here are websites with
