DIY Embroidered Butterfly Cap

If you like butterflies, you will like this embroidery tutorial. This embroidered baseball cap will take two to three days to make. Also, if your cap has a stain, you can cover the stain with an embroidered butterfly. Butterflies are a symbol of joy, good luck, and courage. Here are the instructions for making this embroidered butterfly cap.

Materials:

Scissors

1 Baseball cap

Embroidery floss

Embroidery needle

Letter stencil

Butterfly stencil (optional)

Fabric marker or pen

First, go to Suncatcher Studio's website and make a letter stencil. In this example, the word, joy was made on the Suncatcher Studio stencil maker website. Next, print out and cut the letters. Trace the letters onto a cap with a fabric marker or pen. After that embroider each letter.

Then, use a butterfly stencil or draw butterflies on the cap. In this example, three butterflies were embroidered onto the cap. One butterfly was embroidered on the side. The butterfly was embroidered in three different colors. Continue embroidering and trimming the extra thread from the inside of the cap. Have fun embroidering.
