Painting Rocks with Nicknames

Painting rocks with nicknames is a quick personalized painting project. Painted rocks with nicknames can be used as paper weights and for decorating mini-indoor gardens. Always use a spray sealer, Mod Podge, or clear nail polish to seal the painted rocks. Also, keep in mind where you will place the painted rocks. It is illegal to hide painted rocks in National parks and other national landmarks.

However, painted rocks can also be placed outside in your garden especially if you use big rocks to decorate your rock garden. In this example, the painted rock with a nickname is displayed on a kitchen countertop for decoration. Painted rocks can be used to hold notes, as placement holders, or as a conversation starter. Use your favorite colors with your nickname or your friend's favorite colors to paint a rock with their nickname. Here is the tutorial for painting rocks with nicknames.

Materials:

Paint brushes in different sizes

Acrylic paint

Rocks

Nail polish

Paint holder, reusable plate, or empty egg carton

Instructions:

Select a rock from your garden. Then begin by washing the rock. Dry the rock or let it air dry. Next, paint the rock on one side. In the example, white paint was used. After that wait for the paint to dry.

Paint a flower on the center of the rock. Wait for the paint to dry. In this example, a flower was painted with gold metallic acrylic paint. Then pink or orange paint was used to paint the flower. After that wait for the flower to get dry.

Use a paper towel, old cloth, or cardboard to avoid getting paint on your kitchen countertop. A pink heart was painted on the sides of the rock. Wait for the painted hearts to get dry. Paint green leaves and a stem for the flower. After that wait for the paint to dry.

Last paint a nickname. Let the paint to completely dry before using a spray sealer or nail polish. Painted rocks make a cute decoration for decorating your kitchen countertops or your friend's kitchen countertops. It makes an interesting, personalized gift for them and to decorate with their nickname. Have fun painting!
