Autumn: Meditation, Sleep, and Sound Relaxation Tips 2026

Meditating in the autumn season can be done by practicing visualization, movement, and using your senses. Yet, think about how the fall season can be meaningful to you and write it in your journal. The autumn season can get busier and often feeling groggy in the morning can be difficult to focus. Washing your face in the morning and telling yourself, " Cheers to a productive day" or " Thanks" can be one way to begin your day. In the evening, repeat the same phrase before you brush your teeth, wash your face, or removing your work clothes.

Sit and stare at the window.  See the colorful falling leaves floating in the air. Name every color of the falling leaves. Write down the colors of the falling leaves in your journal. Get a falling leaf outside and feel the texture of the leaf.

Use color pencils to sketch the falling leaves that you see in your garden. Make paper leaves and write affirmations on them. Read one affirmation in the evening before going to sleep. Practice mindfulness when you do fall yard work. If you get itchy skin during the fall season, take a warm bath and use comfortable sleepwear.

Apply lotion and smell the scent of the lotion as it calms your itchy skin. Lift your legs up and lift them towards you while listening to a guided meditation script. Make paper pumpkins and write affirmations on one side of the paper. Listen to music that remind you of the autumn season. Decorate your bedroom with autumn decor and use calming seasonal scents for your oil diffuser.

Practice visual meditation before or after saying affirmations. Close your eyes and visualize a pumpkin patch, a leaf, or an animal roaming in the forest. Open your eyes and lie down peacefully as you listen to forest sounds, autumn rains, or other sounds. Use play dough to exercise your hands and say, " It is a beautiful autumn season". Always consult with your primary doctor if you are having a difficult time to fall asleep or feel groggy in the morning.

Adjust the volume and be in a comfortable position. Do breathing techniques and name various types of leaves. Practice mindfulness with autumn seasonal foods and drinks during your dinner. Before going to sleep, make your bed and use a pillow spray with an autumn scent. Count falling leaves and add an emotion you want to release.
