National Alzheimer's Disease Awareness Month (November)

Once again, it is National Alzheimer’s Disease Month. Alzheimer’s might be a difficult topic to discuss and hard to understand. It is also a confusing, anxious, and nervous time for the family that is going through a loved one’s Alzheimer’s process. Yet, there might be some hope for finding a cure for Alzheimer’s. Doing brain exercises, being physically fit, and reducing stress may help to prevent Alzheimer’s.

Doing physical activities such as gardening, yoga, and tai-chi, may prevent Alzheimer’s and will reduce too much stress on the brain. Listening to music and trying to guess who sings the song or the name of the song is a fun way to exercise the brain. Also, joining a book club will help the brain to remember what is being read. Also, reading the same book with a friend will help you discuss in detail what you read and understood. This will help your memory.
