Spring Break Meditation Tips to Help You Relax
Meditating during your spring break might be challenging, especially if you have made a lot of travel plans. Yet, finding time to meditate during your spring break with your college friends is possible if you add time to your itinerary. Meditation retreats can help you practice self-discovery and learn ways to relax through yoga, meditation, or mindfulness. However, you can also meditate during your spring break by listening to guided meditations for two or five minutes while you wait for your meals. Also, you can practice using a positive affirmation when you are getting dressed or before going to have lunch with your friends.
Another way is by having your spa day in the hotel room with your spa traveling kit. Make sure the bathtub in the hotel is not too slippery before and after using your spa traveling kit. Use five minutes to do a hand massage with lotion or coconut oil. Alternatively, you can use moisturizing spa gloves and socks. Purchase a spa robe and slippers to wear in the hotel room for your spa day.
Practicing self-care and then meditating can help you feel relaxed before you go sightseeing, hiking, bicycling, or swimming. You can count the bubbles while in the bathtub or in the shower. Also, you can see the bubbles of the shampoo make shapes in the water when you are in the shower or in the bathtub. Simply seeing the soap bubbles or shampoo bubbles without thinking about anything can bring a sense of calm before you start your vacation day. You can also count the items that you see on your dinner plate, the items that you see when you are hiking at a safe distance and count the animals that you see at a safe distance.
Purchase a book with mazes and work on the mazes while you are in the park or in the cafeteria. If you are on a cruise, you can work on the mazes, crossword puzzles, or word searches without thinking about anything. Stay silent while you work on the mazes and enjoy what you see during your cruise. After you are done working on the mazes from the adult maze book, you can cut out your favorite maze and paste it in your journal with a glue stick. Stretch your arms and legs during your cruise.
Be aware of your body posture and practice walking meditation before having your lunch or after your dinner. As well as practicing gratitude and participate in a meditation retreat if it is offered in your travel package. If you are feeling tired, you can do sleep meditation in the hotel room, cabin, or room rental. You can also bring with you a meditation travel kit that you have for Yoga or Zen meditation travel kit. Bring a comfortable neck pillow, meditation pillow, or a travel pillow to practice Yoga or meditation in the hotel room.
Wear sunglasses or find a shaded area outside while you are journaling, walking, or practicing Yoga. Practice group meditation while you are traveling. Avoid getting distracted. Sit quietly and listen to nature sounds using an online application or the sounds you hear outside. Here are resources for meditating during your spring break.
