Fish, Onions, and Jalapeños Dinner Recipe

Eating fish once a week can be helpful for the skeletal system and the immune system. Also, it can help with weight management and give you energy. Nonetheless, varying your fish recipes and planning your meals in advance can help reduce your cooking stress. If you are looking for a fish recipe, you might like this tilapia dinner recipe with grilled onions and jalapeños. The jalapeños are optional and you can add mild or hot salsa.

This meal can be made for lunch or for dinner. Also, you can make mashed potatoes in advance or use a mashed potato box mix. Another tip is to make the sautéed onions ahead on a skillet before cooking the tilapia on the same skillet. You can have this meal with iced tea, lemonade, or other beverages. Here is the recipe.

Ingredients:

Tarragon

Ground Coriander

Onion Powder

Chili Powder

Ground Ginger

Dill Weed

Crushed Rosemary

Ground Mustard

One Packet of Fish Fillet

Half of an Onion

Mashed Potatoes

A Jar of Jalapeños (optional)

A Jar of Mild or Hot  Salsa

Butter or Butter Substitute

Olive Oil or other Cooking Oil

Pressed Garlic

Recipe:

Boil potatoes in one pot with water. Then wait for the potatoes to get cold before peeling the potatoes skin. After that add sliced potatoes in a pot with butter or a butter substitute. Smash the potatoes with a wooden spoon and stir the potatoes in the pot. Continue stirring the potatoes to make the mashed potatoes.

In a skillet, add olive oil and add the slices of onions. Stir occasionally and wait for the onions to get caramelized. Add spices to the tilapia. Cook the tilapia with the caramelized onions. Cook the tilapia for three to four minutes on each side with the pressed garlic.

Serve the tilapia with salsa, jalapeños, mashed potatoes, and grilled onions. Alternatively, you can add vegetables or a salad on the side with the tilapia. Save the leftovers in separate air tight containers. Enjoy your meal and consume the cooked fish within three to four days. Lastly, label the air tight containers to remind you to eat your food leftovers.
