Ocean Therapy at Home

Going to the beach can make you feel calmer. However, when you cannot go to the beach, you can do ocean therapy at home. Begin by using sea salt in your bath or on your face. Do not use table salt because it is different than sea salt. Sea salt is evaporated from seawater and has more magnesium.

Magnesium is beneficial for the skin because it reduces acne. Also, sea salt alleviates dry itchy skin.  Feel the salt on your skin and close your eyes for a few minutes. Visualize you are at the beach and rinse the sea salt from your face. Avoid getting the sea salt on your eyes.

Another way is by using Epsom salts in your bath. Also, view images or photos of the beach online. Wear calming colors such as blue, green, pink, and violet. Add a mini sand garden to your desk or coffee table. Rake the sand in waves, swirls, or circles to feel serene. Here are more resources about ocean therapy.
