International Day of Calm 2023

April 5th is International Day of Calm. This day is to educate and to bring peace without violence. It is a day to do a self-reflection of yourself, your actions, and your response to replying to tense situations. Also, how you respond to confrontational, offended, narcissistic people. Responding to them in a non-violent manner and calm manner.

It is a day to eliminate hateful thoughts and words that offend others. As well as the self-hatred that hurt your mental health. On International Day of Calm, you can focus on reducing your stress and remaining calm in stressful situations which is not easy to do with confrontational people. You can begin a new habit to be more serene and to release your frustrations positively. Peace is a strong emotion that everyone desires to have in life.

This feeling permits the nervous system to relax the entire body and mind. Yet, everyone struggles to feel peace due to multitasking, worrying, and rushing to complete job tasks. Some only feel peace during a vacation, in the bathtub, or while cooking without interruptions. But peace can be felt every day on unconscious and conscious levels. One must permit the feeling of peace without getting distracted by outside noises.

Slowing down to enjoy the sounds of nature, the sounds of kitchen appliances, and other common sounds. Being silent while you work without music and paying attention to details. Letting your mind relax with an effortless book to read. Solving conflicts without being confrontational. Knowing when to be diplomatic with your answers.

Do not argue in front of your children or senior citizens. Figure out ways to solve your marital or boyfriend issues calmly. Arguing is often an unhealthy way to get your sentiments out in the form of communication. Do activities that make you feel peaceful. Allow yourself to feel peace with yourself and with others.

Feeling safe, secure, and comfortable wherever you are is something everyone desires to have. Peace can be achieved by constructively focusing on your feelings. Voice your feelings without shouting and feel safe to voice them. Understand the importance of getting your issues addressed with security and knowledge of the consequences. Safety, security, and being aware of the other person's feelings grant you peace to communicate better.

International Day of Calm can be observed in many ways. Aim for peace by being cautious with your words and actions even if they treat you inadequately. Practice self-care, and calm techniques, and discover how to feel peace any time of the day. Observe how you feel and how other people make you feel safe, comfortable, and calm.
