Social media can have a positive impact on someone's social confidence, self-esteem, and self-confidence. It can make someone feel more creative and comfortable in socializing. But there are times when social media can harm one's self-esteem. Social media can distract someone from a real-life perspective. Yet, there are ways to make social media more positive. 


Begin by following people who inspire you to be your best, to be more creative, and have a positive outlook on life. Once you have set up your social media, have a schedule to check your messages on Messenger. Avoid comparisons about your relationships, family, and your job. Encourage people that follow you or people that write to you. Set boundaries and limit yourself in having conversations with anyone online. 


Block people who are negative and who send you inappropriate images. If you feel uncomfortable with people's messages, videos, or images; Let them know politely. Follow people who resemble you or share things in common with you. Post appropriate images on social media. Do not post images you would be embarrassed to share online. 

Social media can be addictive. 


However, you can keep your mind busy without checking social media every second of the day. Be respectful of others online. Read paper books, and paper magazines, and socialize in person with your close friends. Do not neglect your priorities because of social media. Avoid engaging in negative comment threads and with images that promote negativity.
