Teas, Winter, and Allergies
Winter allergies are different than spring, autumn, and summer allergies. Dust, insects, mold, and pet dander cause the winter season allergies. These allergies can occur at home and at work. Use a humidifier and wash your hands after petting or playing with your pets.
Select blankets with cotton, bamboo, or wool fabrics. Additionally, select sweaters and pajamas with hypoallergenic fabrics to avoid allergy skin rashes. Purchase laundry detergents that are hypoallergenic. Take a shower with hypoallergenic body wash or soap after cleaning your home. Keep a journal to keep track of your allergies.

In addition to your allergy treatments and managing allergy symptoms, you can try herbal teas such as peppermint tea, spearmint tea, and other mint teas. Licorice tea, rosemary tea, and turmeric tea can also help. Other options are chamomile tea, yerba mate, butterbur tea, and rooibos tea which can help reduce your allergy symptoms. Consult with your doctor before consuming hot herbal teas so it does not interfere with your allergy medications or treatments.
