Evening Mindfulness & Evening Meditation Routine

Looking at the sky in the evening can be mesmerizing and a self-reflective mindfulness practice to do. Also, watching the clouds as the colors of the sky change from evening to night. You can practice meditating while seeing the evening sky. As well as breathing slowly and rapidly as you see the sky. Focus on seeing one cloud, a tree, or a bird flying by as you see the sky while you meditate.

Make sure you are in a safe area and sit down. Find a comfortable position as you sit on your patio chair, or on the floor, or on the grass. If you are feeling nervous or too tense, walk until you feel comfortable sitting down. Next, wait until your nervousness is reduced and begin to stare at the sky. However, if you continue feeling too nervous stop meditating and consult with your primary doctor.

Additionally, focus on the colors of the sky as you let your thoughts go by. Slow down to relax and to feel the wind. Write down your thoughts in a journal as you see the scenery and as you feel the wind. Use color pencils to draw what you see in the sky and add it to your journal. Listen to the sounds that you hear and write down what you hear.

Although, it might be tough to meditate or practice mindfulness when there is too much noise; Focus on one item to avoid feeling distracted without having to leave your meditation area. Move your arms and your legs as you see the scenery outside. Walk around and gently move your neck side to side. Continue looking at the evening sky, the tree branches, and other things that you see. Draw any shapes and other images that you see in your evening journal.

Another option is to paint your journal pages or on canvas. Paint what you see and feel the paint glide on the canvas or on paper. Nonetheless, paint the canvas or paper using the colors that you see from the evening sky. You can also paint on separate pieces of paper and glue your finished mini paintings in your journal. Cut your paper paintings into mini squares, rectangles, or other shapes to make abstract art in your journal.

As you do this, hum a song slowly and quickly. Then, hum your song quickly to slowly. After that close your eyes and feel the paint on the paper and sit quietly. Open your eyes and move your ankles, move your legs, and move your hands by rotating them side to side. Last, feel the weather changes as you sit and see the shadows and the light.

Write something about your abstract art. Continue by reading your journal pages before going to sleep. Take a walk if needed to help you slow down and to get ready for your evening activities. Feel inspired, feel creativity, and feel hopeful as you meditate or practice mindfulness. Here are resources for practicing evening meditation or evening mindfulness.
