Tilapia & Mushrooms (Seafood Month)
Celebrating
National Seafood Month can be fun with the family and with friends. You can
make a seafood meal ahead of time by getting all the ingredients and setting up
the dinner table. As well as having everyone together to eat at the same time.
Additionally, you can decorate your dinner table with seasonal decorations with
an ocean theme. Nonetheless, National Seafood Month can be celebrated by
preparing and cooking meals at home with vegetables that they like to
eat.
During National
Seafood Month, select sustainable seafood and have seafood twice a week.
Another way is by having seafood at the weekends, especially if everyone in the
family is busy during the week. Have a checklist of seafood items that you
purchase during the month and use seafood leftovers the next day. Organize your
leftovers with separate containers and labeling the seafood items. Nevertheless,
changing your seafood meals and adding delicious flavors can make you enjoy
eating it.
For example, you
can make tilapia dinners for National Seafood Month. However, you can select
any type of sustainable fish for your meals. In the example, tilapia was made
with bell peppers, onions, and with mushrooms. Then, add potatoes and a salad
as side dishes. Here is the recipe for making tilapia with mushrooms.

Ground Coriander, Ground Mustard, Ground Ginger, Ground Garlic Powder, Basil,
and Ground Chili Powder. Wash one bell pepper and remove the seeds. Slice the
bell pepper. Peel one onion and slice it.
Wash and slice
celery sticks. Then wash one apple and slice it. Add celery and apple slices to
your salad. Lastly, add your salad dressing. Italian salad dressing was used in
the picture example.
Use one can of
mushrooms or cook mushrooms for fifteen minutes. As you continue preparing your

once it is soft inside. Slice the potatoes in half. Wash and dry the serving
plates ahead of time before using them.
After that in one
skillet, add cooking oil and add the slices of bell peppers, slices of onions,
and a few coriander seeds. Add the tilapia and cook it in oil. After four
minutes, turn the tilapia to the other side. Then, flip the tilapia for another
four minutes. Wait until the tilapia is golden brown to add the
mushrooms.
Once the tilapia
is soft and flakey, it is ready to be served. Serve the tilapia with potatoes,
bell peppers, onions, mushrooms, and salad. Add salt to the potatoes or to the
tilapia which is optional. You can add sour cream and chives to the potatoes,
which is also optional. Have fun making seafood meals throughout National
