Poetry: Dreams & Journaling Ideas

To have a dream journal, one must identify, recognize, and remember everything to write about it. Yet, often waking up from a dream can make you feel nervous, excited, and confusion. Other times dreams can make you feel sad or embarrassed. However, there are dreams that can make you dream about strangers or travel to places where you have never been to. A dream journal can help you find repetitive symbols, faces, or a pattern of topics that your dream might demonstrate.

Also, poetry can give you insight into your emotions. You can write about one emotion based on your dream. However, write carefully how you feel without neglecting your emotions. In the first example poem, gratitude and love were the emotions felt of a dream of a loved one. Still, feel free to share your feelings, your aspirations, and the details you recall from your dreams upon waking.

Poetry is one way to concentrate on writing in a dream journal. Dream journals might be difficult to write especially if you have recurring dreams that are confusing to understand. Sometimes writing everything about your dreams in bullet points and putting it together in poetry can be profound. Other times a dream poem can inspire you to follow your heart desires or career goals. In the example poem, you can read about one of my dreams about traveling.

Dream poetry can help you practice self-discovery about yourself. Also, you can practice self-awareness, self-reflection, and self-creativity. Keep in mind that your dream poems will be unique and evolve naturally without thinking about what was written. You might not understand your dreams, but it can help you to reduce your stress by writing dream poetry. Include photography, artwork, scrapbook items, or doodles of what you remember seeing in your dreams.

If the dreams were too painful to remember, do write them in your dream journal. Seek professional help to manage emotions and painful experiences. Speak to someone about your dreams especially if the dreams leave you feeling scared, worried, or anxious. Have a dream book as a tool to help you further in your poetry writings and for your dream journal. Another tip is to keep track of your dreams, especially when you are stressed out.

Keep in mind that certain occasions can make you dream more. Always consult with your primary care doctor especially when you dream frequently and wake up nervously. Remember that dreams can make you understand yourself or be more aware of your subconscious. Even if you cannot fully interpret your dreams through a dream journal; Do recognize your emotions and how the dreams affect your entire mood for the day. Ask yourself questions and use dream journal prompts to help you write in your journal.

After writing your dream poetry, you can meditate while you read your poem aloud. Additionally, you can practice visual meditation to help you remember to write your dream poem. You can write your dream poetry in the morning or in the evening. Yet, writing in the afternoon can help you take a break from your daily tasks and feel creative to write your dream poetry. Finally, write your dream poetry and feel inspired to frame it to remind you to feel motivated.

You might feel frustrated and feel upset when the dreams are complicated to write about. Be careful with forcing yourself to remember your dreams when you wake up. Alternatively, write a story about your dreams and a narrative poem about them. Ensure you do breathe techniques and stretches to help you relax before writing in your dream journal.
