Practicing Yoga as a couple can be a fantastic way to strengthen your relationship and to get to know each other better. It is good exercise. Besides learning about Yoga poses, you will learn more about your partner. Also, you will learn about trusting your partner, especially through Acro Yoga poses. What is Acro Yoga and how can it benefit your relationship?

Acro Yoga gets its name from acrobatics and yoga. Yoga is combined with acrobatics which requires technique, patience, and lots of balance. By practicing Acro Yoga, you can improve your acrobatic dance or any other type of dance form. Even if you are not a dancer, Acro Yoga can teach you to connect with your partner physically and at an intimate level. In Acro Yoga, a person is lifted in many poses while the other person is lying down.

Although Acro Yoga may not be for every couple because it puts a lot of pressure on your muscles and your back; Acro Yoga does challenge a couple's strength but without competition. If you have back issues and flexibility issues, you might want to try a different type of Yoga that can be done as a couple. Before you begin practicing Yoga as a couple, know how to prevent spine injury and other injuries. Have effective communication, and trust, and know your partner’s physical strength. Make sure you are both in a good mood before practicing Yoga as a couple.

It is not recommended to practice Yoga with your partner when you are in a bad mood. Avoid pushing, pulling, and kicking each other when preparing yourself for each Yoga pose. Both partners need to cooperate and focus on each other. As well as working together and permitting us to hold hands while doing the Yoga poses. Stare into each other's eyes without being distracted.

One way is by practicing Tantric Yoga. Tantric Yoga is all about breathing, energy, and relaxation. It is about self-love and self-awareness. Although, Tantric Yoga can be practiced by yourself; Tantric Yoga can be practiced as a couple. Tantric Yoga creates a couple to bond with each other.

Additionally, Tantric Yoga opens the sensual side of each partner. This type of Yoga makes both partners to be more intimate and get closer physically. As well as concentrating on your partner's touch without rushing. Simply holding hands, hugging, and staring into each other's eyes can be an emotional aspect for both partners. Meditation can also be included in Tantric Yoga.

Partner Yoga or Couples Yoga demands a lot of time, and attention, and rekindles the passion one feels for their partner. The other type of Yoga that can revive or improve intimacy in a committed relationship is Sensual Yoga. Sensual Yoga is usually done alone and assists in finding the erotic side of oneself. Finding your sex appeal can improve your self-esteem, self-confidence, and self-worth. Sometimes with low self-esteem one thinks pessimistically about feeling attractive to their partner.

Sensual Yoga can be practiced with your partner. It teaches you what your partner likes and dislikes in intimate Yoga poses. Often partners do not have open communication about what they want or need in their relationship. Therefore, Sensual Yoga breaks the ice and other barriers that prevent both partners from fully loving each other in a deeper aspect. Keep in mind that Sensual Yoga can enhance the physical aspects of a relationship.

Moreover, acknowledge your partner's boundaries, and moral values, and take things slow. Partner Yoga is all about spending time with each other. You might have to modify certain Yoga poses due to limitations. Yet, practicing Yoga together makes you aware of each other without saying any words to each other. It makes both of you share private and intimate moments.

Last, do not force your partner to do Yoga poses beyond their flexibility level. Stretch your body together without discomfort. If Acro Yoga is too difficult for your partner, try Tantric Yoga or Sensual Yoga. Nevertheless, find harmony and reduce the stress in your relationship.
