Spinach Salad with Cheddar Cheese

Making salads during the summer months can be quick, simple, and easy to make. Also, if you add Cheddar cheese to your salads, it can be beneficial for your bones. Cheddar cheese has calcium and vitamin K. However, adding any type of cheese to your salads can be beneficial for your overall health. Always consult with your primary doctor before adding cheese to your diet.

Cheddar cheese has vitamin A, iron, B-12, and vitamin D. It helps to repair muscles. Additionally consuming Cheddar cheese can help keep your teeth healthy. However, if you have a heart condition or have a low sodium diet, it is recommended to eat one ounce of cheese which can be measured with a measuring cup. Here is the recipe for making this baby spinach salad.

Ingredients:

Shredded White Cheddar Cheese or Other Shredded Cheese

Baby Spinach

Onions

Red bell peppers

Mini Yellow Sweet Peppers

Olives with Pimentos

Lemon Vinaigrette or Italian Vinaigrette

Preparation and Salad Toss Time:

In a mixing bowl add baby spinach. Next, peel an onion and slice it. After that wash and slice bell peppers. Then add to the bowl with the baby spinach. After that slice olives with pimentos.

Toss the salad with a fork and a spoon or salad tongs. Last add the shredded cheese. I used white Cheddar cheese, but any shredded cheese can be used to make your salad. Add a vinaigrette salad dressing and toss the salad. Serve immediately and enjoy!
