Relaxation: Egg Masks for a Spa Day at Home

Relaxing at home with an egg mask for your hair and face can make you feel better. Egg masks for your face can help you reduce pimples. However, before applying egg masks on your face, ensure you do not apply near your eyes and lips. Also, make sure you are not allergic to any natural ingredients for your face egg mask. Always consult with your dermatologist before using egg masks for your face and hair.

An egg mask can be made at home using three ingredients. Begin by using Tea Tree essential oil, Rose essential oil, Sandalwood essential oil, or Rosemary essential oil. Select one essential oil and a carrier oil to combine your egg mask with one egg and lemon juice. It is recommended to mix the carrier oil such as Jojoba oil, Olive oil, or Avocado oil with the essential oil. Use an old spoon to mix the egg, lemon juice, and the essential oil already mixed with the carrier oil.

Use a small oven safe baking container to pour the mixture. Apply the egg mask to your hair and face. Leave the egg mask for ten to fifteen minutes especially if you have oily hair and oily skin. After that rinse, your egg mask with cold or lukewarm water. Then wash your hair with a gentle clarifying shampoo or with baby shampoo.

Lastly, rinse your shampoo. You can use conditioner. However, you can use herbal tea to rinse your hair instead of conditioner especially if you tend to have oily hair during the summer months. Prepare the herbal tea ahead of time and let the tea bag sit in the mug. Wait until the tea has cooled off so you can rinse your hair with tea.

Select green tea, peppermint tea, spearmint tea, or chamomile tea for your hair. However, if you are using herbal teas for your face, you can use green tea, chamomile tea, jasmine tea, or spearmint tea. Ensure you do not get tea near your eyes. Nevertheless, use cotton balls for applying the tea to your face. Use an alarm clock with a soft sound to remind you to rinse tea from your face with cold or lukewarm water.

Massage your hair with gentle hand movements. Listen to classical music or other instrumental music with few lyrics to help you relax for five minutes. Continue your spa day by ending your skin care or hair care routine with an uplifting song. Sing in another language other than your main language. Smile and do a facial massage before rinsing your hair with tea.

Rinsing your hair with tea is the last step before wrapping your hair with a towel. Use an old towel to wrap your hair. You can do egg masks at home once a month with herbal tea rinses. However, if you have oily hair, it is recommended to do tea rinses twice a week. Here are more resources for using essential oils, egg masks, and rinsing your hair with tea.
