Mother's Day Meal

 


Seafood meals are easy to prepare and to make. It only takes approximately twenty-five to thirty minutes to cook fish on the stove. Catfish are good for the cardiovascular system, nervous system, and the ocular system. Due to its Omega-3 fatty acids it is helpful for the brain and to lower your cholesterol. Additionally, it has vitamin B12, vitamin D, potassium, and other minerals.

It provides protein and may prevent anemia. Also, it helps you to maintain your weight. In this example the catfish was paired with a cucumber salad along with lemon slices. This meal makes a good meal for Mother’s Day or for any other occasion. Here is the recipe for making this meal.

Ingredients:

One catfish filet packet

One or two lemons

Spices:

Ginger

Ground pepper

Curry

Turmeric

Dill seeds

Tarragon dry leaves

Vegetables:

One red bell pepper

One onion

One cucumber

Apple cider vinegar

Garlic cloves

Extra virgin olive oil (optional)

Preparation and Cooking Time:

Wash and slice the bell peppers and onions. In one skillet add the sliced bell peppers and onions. Then, add extra virgin olive oil or water depending on how you cook the catfish. Add the following spices to the catfish: Ginger, Curry, Turmeric, Ground Black Pepper, Dill Seeds, and the Tarragon leaves. Next add garlic using a garlic presser.

Then, cook the catfish for twenty-five to thirty minutes. While the catfish is cooking, make the cucumber salad. Wash and slice a cucumber. Slice bell peppers and slice onions. After that in one bowl, add the sliced cucumbers, sliced bell peppers, and the sliced onions. 

Add a little bit of apple cider vinegar, ground black pepper, and a little bit of lemon juice. Once the catfish is ready, serve the catfish with the cucumber salad. Wash one lemon and slice the lemon. Add lemon slices to each plate. This meal serves two people. 

Fish lasts three to four days in the refrigerator. Make sure you save you leftover fish separate from the cucumber salad. You can serve this meal with iced tea, hot tea, or with hot coffee. As well as with a small bowl of soup on the side. Happy Mother's Day in advance!
