Text messaging as an employee can be difficult at times especially when you are multitasking. However, not proofreading your text messages can be embarrassing as well as feeling unproductive at work. Be aware of sending text messages in employee group threads, employee group chats, or individually with your coworkers. Before replying to someone at work in a group chat, group thread, or in a text message; Make sure you read carefully what your coworker is asking you in the message. Always reply to an employee's text message diligently and without rushing.

Always follow group employees texting etiquette. Keep in mind of co-workers’ privacy and do not add personal details about work lunch conversations in the company group threads. Also, know every co-worker's telephone numbers so you know who is in the employee group thread or group chat. Understand everyone's schedule in the workplace and know when it is the appropriate time to send a group employee text message. Additionally, if you use a USB and notice that the labels of folders of documents have changed or have a foreign label typed in; Do not open the folders or any other attachments on your office computer. Do report it. Also, wait for the computer technician to review your office computer settings and to check for malware.

Practice mindfulness when you receive text messages in employee group threads, employee group chats, or individual text messages from a coworker. If you are getting too many anonymous complaints or false accusations, do seek professional help. Always be informed and read the Workplace Stalking Policy. Ensure your safety by being accompanied by the company security guard and park your car in a well-lit area.
