How to Write Winter or Holiday Poetry?

Writing holiday poetry can be tough. However, writing short descriptive poetry can be done in thirty minutes or less depending on the poetry style. Write about the holiday symbols as part of the theme for the poem. In this example, a Christmas tree was the symbol for this poem. Also, write about time and other elements to describe your holiday poem. 

Writing poetry in the winter season can be fun by making a list of winter symbols. Select several words from your list to draft a poem. After that, read your poem. Add one or several stanzas to repeat in your poem. Keep in mind that not all the words have to rhyme.
