Writing Poetry & Work
Writing
poetry at work can help you focus, relax, and take a break from multitasking.
Begin by writing short phrases. Next, put your short phrases together to form a
poem during your lunch break. Another way is by writing freely without rhyming
words. Free form poetry can help you organize your thoughts and help you be
creative in your writing.
Another technique
is writing about nature and what you see every day before going to work.
Nonetheless, read a newspaper article or a magazine article; Gather themes and
topics from what you read. After that underline words or cross out words from
the article. Next, use the remaining words to write your poetry. Also, by
highlighting words you can write a short poem.
My favorite part
of writing poetry is rhyming words. Although you might not be able to find all
words to rhyme, it does challenge yourself to write with rhyming words. Find
time to rhyme words by making a list. Write another list of non-rhyming words.
Last, write ahead and put your two lists together to write a poem.
Work poetry can
help you feel creative and confident with your writing. Sometimes you might not
have time to write during your lunch breaks; Yet, writing one stanza at a time
can create an interesting poem to read. Nevertheless, writing every day for five
minutes can help you concentrate and feel less distracted. At the end of the
week, read your poems and edit them if you have time. Depending on your work
stress and scheduling, make time to write poetry before work.
Once you get your
poem started before work, find other elements to make your poetry sound like a
song. Learn about writing sonnets, ode poetry, or other forms of poetry.
Experiment with various words that describe emotions and feelings. Writing
poetry during workdays can help you understand what is bothering you or what is
on your mind for that week. Enjoy writing poetry for relaxing at work.
Reading poetry
makes my mind relax and helps me to learn more about poetry. Feel inspired to
write poetry during your work breaks. Join a poetry club or make a poetry club
with your friends. Express yourself through poetry and make sure you have a
timer to go back to work. Here are websites about writing poetry for your work
